Agreed. Agreed. Agreed.
You're a wonderful moderator Matt, with an extensive knowledge of the game. I enjoy pretty much everything you post. But sometimes your smugness is unbearable.
With that said, he is correct. Ignore. Ignore. Ignore.

LOL!
Thanks ... erm ... I think. :D
Anyway, the point is that we have a lot going for us in here, especially when considered in the light of the rest of this zoo. I think we should all do a bit to keep it like that. Some of you are newer posters, others have been around as long as I have and longer, but each new addition seems to fit in nicely.
The odd floater in the bowl notwithstanding, that is. Soon flushed, as you have just seen. ;)

Remember Matt, you bit first!!
You couldn't resist his idiotic posts either.
But anyway, thanks for getting rid of the little shit :D

Well, that's slightly unfair. I did bite, but not in the manner I would elsewhere around here. I was just pointing out the error of his ways in the genuine hope that he would put himself straight. So I was a bit caustic, but then I am always a bit caustic with thick people.
Sadly, he really was an imbecile and, as such, incabable of cottoning on to his position.
You know you've reached the point of no return with these types when their posts end up as basically just asterisks and badly spelt sentence fragments. Time to get shot.

I wasn't been unfair, just saying we all bit, and we all should ignore crap like this in future.
I am just waiting to see what his new name will be when he comes back on here!
BTW, I had a great laugh reading everyone's responses to him over the weekend.
Shakespeare, mothers, sisters, military threats, grammar lessons, in the meantime Liverpool won 3-2. :)

I think it had gotten to the point where it couldn't be ignored, which was why I reported it to Matt (something I normally wouldn't do). It was becoming increasingly difficult to have a discussion on the official thread. I'm fairly new to this board (though not to BS) and I want to see it continue to be a source for intelligent discussion about LFC.

I reported it too. But I am not sure whether mine went to Matt or someone higher up. I am not sure who has red card authority.
I am intrigued by the straight "Red Card" though, no yellow first. "Come on ref I hardly touched him!"
I am just kidding by the way, a red was truly deserved.

I’m guilty of rising up and taking the bait. As a BigSoccer Newbie, I’ll use that as my defense for the error.
Of course, in all the furor that ensued, I passed the 25-post mark, which removes my “newbie” tag. So I no longer have any excuses.
Ignore, ignore, ignore. And post positively and constructively--good posts driving out the bad.
Lesson learned.

You too, huh? I don't think I bothered with him on any threads, but I think I reported him at least twice.
So, any guesses on when he'll resurface? And on how many posts it will take before he's found out (I'll say that number will be right around two). Of course, maybe he figured out how to circumvent the upgraded NetNanny his parents put on his computer and will go about dealing with his puberty problems in a more... let's say typical... way.

Thanks for getting rid of the insufferable little puke, Matt. It was much needed.
I also want to say that I support what Matt says about the quality of posts and users in this forum. As a regular reader/infrequent poster in other team forums, I can tell you that the level of discussion is, in general, much more civil, intelligent, and measured here, and I am thankful for that. It's nice to engage in spirited yet reasoned debate (e.g., see the "Xavier bashing" thread).

Matt, a public service well executed (pun intended).
Perhaps some of us may have risen to the bait a little too easily, but there was precious little chance of reasoned argument on any of the active thread as all the little arsehole was interested in was trolling, flaming and ad hominem attacks. (Plus, despite much direction, he is probably still incapable of understanding the difference between 'your' and
'you're'. :) )
BTW, was there anyone who didn't report him? :)

Now I'm not one who says I told you so...
BUT..I told you all to ignore him. Three times in fact.
Had to get that in didn't I. Just ignore me..:D

You'd probably get a police escort right to the front door and a volunteer relief squad, begging for a chance.............:)

Here I was thinking I was leading a crusade to rid us of vermin by reporting him...
Reminded me a bit of Iain (but more abusive), who thankfully no longer frequents this place.

OK, OK. So we all bit. Ignore me too. :p
As to the procedure followed (for transparency's sake, which I believe is important), yes, I am the person who received your Reported Posts and PM's. As it happens, I had reported our little friend to the SuperMods (the one's with the carding authority) a month or so ago. Nothing was done at the time because he was a Newbie and, as such, still a plausible bet for settling down and getting a life. As a Mod, you get a different insight into new members on these boards and it is surprising how many people come on here, throw their weight about like idiots for 30 or so posts and then settle down into a little nook of their own, get along famously with most people and go on to become big-time members of the Boards.
So it wasn't technically a straight red, although I am a bit of a Hanging Judge in that respect in the Mod's area. My philosophy is to either leave them alone or boost them straight away. Yellow's for wimps.
So anyway, give us a shout when the inevitable reincarnation pops up and I'll get that sorted too. You never know, this guy might be thick enough to go all the way down the fun road to Bigsoccer contacting his ISP and getting his account terminated. :D

I didn't either...sadly I took the lowest road and made a childish threat.
Cheers to Matt though for giving him the toss.
