He's 26 years old and had several offers from Spain a few years ago but decided to go play in UAE because they were willing to pay him 4-5 millon dollars. He is currently the world's best-paid Asian player (http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Ali_Karimi).

But now, Karimi wants to move to Europe and will as soon as his UAE contract is over within 6 months.

Karimi has gotten offers from Inter Millan, Atletico Madrid, HSV hamburg, Prugia, bayern munich and AS ROMA(im not sure if this was a rumor or?) and a couple of other good european clubs but the idiot chosen has chosen UAE over em :S ahh well as long as he keeps performing like he has done lately i don't care where he plays.

HSV and AS Roma wanted him but Al Ahli didn't want to sell him thats why AS Roma bought Mido. HSV is still after him they want to get him when his contract ends.
