"I'm really frustrated because there was only one team looking to win, they only came not to concede - it's not fair for the football we played."

I just find it funny that, when we have an off-day, we still score two goals. When Chelsea has an off-day, the game is something along the lines of paint drying. As far as Mourinho's comments go, welcome to the world of teams just sitting back and defending against you when they come to your ground. We dealt with it against PSV this year and against Inter at home last year. They don't look to score first. They look to frustrate you and force you to make a mistake, then try to capitalize. He's just lucky most of the mid-table and lower English clubs haven't adopted that tactic yet.

Nov 13 at WHL.
we will have more trouble with you lot than chelsea i imagine cause chelsea aren't creative in their attacking at all and just crowd out their mid. Arsenal has more of the you score two, we're gonna get 3 mentality. So there will be space for Spurs to move around but i think in those situations our attacking deficencies shine thru :(

Regardless, you're only two points ahead of us, which is all that matters.

What do you mean dealt with? You played poorly against PSV, and Inter spanked you 3-0 if memory serves.

Smacks palm against head. (Huss, we need that emoticon. Stet.)
First, why another thread about Mourinho here? He must REALLY get your goat, huh?
Second, for all that we have not played flowing attacking football, we have NOT sat back in any game except the first, against Utd. And given how we actually scored, and looked better in the first half, there's a difference. (Do I need to mention that it was a game against Utd., and first competitive game for a new coach with a new team? No, of course not. You all know that.)
Third - anyone who watched the Spurs game can't possibly deny that we were playing for 3 points.
Fourth - you may score two goals when you look bad, but you also let in 2 when you look bad. The end product is the same.
Fifth - I think you guys pay more attention to Mourinho's press conferences than we do. Nice to see he's making fans already. :p

you think awfully high of a man you've backed for 2 months... i cant speak for posters on here.. but nobody gives a ******** about mourhinho, or his rediculous rants about officials or what WE deal with every game (10 men behind the ball)
nice, okay, you EXPECTED TO DOMINATE SPERZ.. your board were all over it.. hell, when you were tied nil nil at the half, i was still seeing 2-0 predictions... what a larf chavski is.... they are an expensive porto... cept w/out the silverware.. omg.. .LOL... what a joke... look, i wanted you lot to thrash sperz, or a nil nil draw.. so i guess i cant complain... but chavski are a boring football team w/ZERO chemistry (as expected)... but then again, when we kick the ******** out of you lot, i cant wait to hear the excuses then....

Yeah... one must say... for a team that sold Hasselbaink... Chelsea are surely not scoring as many as they were expected to...
I questioned the sale of JFH and they all said he was old blah blah blah... and more nonsense... he has 3 goals and 3 assists, not just better than any Chelsea player... but almost equal to the team.. they have 6 goals and he has scored 3 and created 3...
I think the problem the suffer right now is chemistry... no doubt given time they will over come that problem... however the question is, will they be given time? If new players keep coming into the fold, they will never achieve the synergy of Arsenal's attack now... or the compactness of the United midfield of old... or the telepathic link that great teams seem to have amongst their players...
There is little question about the quality of the squad... outside of the striker position, they have proven Prem players in every position and they have the talent to be superb team.. and to be honest.. conceeding the few goals they have, makes them a superb team.. but what are they not doing? Scoring... why? because they lack a proven scorer.. at least one proven in this league.. which is why they are missing JFH more than ever right now... I think much like last year, this team will get rolling around the half way mark... not saying they are not rolling now... I just mean, really meshing and becoming a unit... it should make for some interesting football... hopefully, because it has not so far ;)

if no one cares about mourinho's rants why is this being discussed?
please tell us how long it takes to develop chemestry, i'd imagine more then 6 or 7 games, would that be resonable to say? one of the main points mourinho had brought up as he took the job was the amount of time SAF and wenger have had with there squads, so chemestry will come hopefully by dec.
oh and if you are gonna kick the ******** out of us like you were gonna win the treble then i look foward to the match.

Of course it takes longer than that to get that chemistry going but Mourinho is dellusional. He is a serious jesus freak with ego problems. He cannot handle how he isn't able to beat every single team. I also think he is having a hard time adapting to the English game.

second place, 2 points below the top team (which has played easier teams), if thats a hard time adapting than what can be said for every other manger?
tottenham did greece proud, they made no attempt to play the game and had one quality chance which only came from a mistake. he would be equal top if not for an icredibly poor desicion, he has the right to be a bit ticked. (the commentators went the length of the game mentioning that mistake and at one point said the ref should be embarrased by it.)

Really? I'd like to see that. Where has he said delusional things?

Jesus freak? What, are you high?

Yes, good managers SHOULD be that way.
I also think he is having a hard time adapting to the English game.
6 games. 14 points. At our current record, he's on pace to have a hard time adapting to the English game by only collecting 89 points.

Chelsea are solid, Mourinho said he was going to build from the back and he's as good as his word. The problem with scoring goals for them is so obvious, they play so narrow that it makes it easier for the opposition defence to close up shop. Yesterday is a perfect example, Robinson didn't have too much to do through the game and the service to the Chelsea strikers wasn't great, but as soon as Duff came on a stream of crosses was going into the Spurs area. Not great crosses, but the guy's hardly played this year, so I'll give him a break. I would have thought that Mourinho wants his full-backs to provide the width and while Ferreira is obviously getting used to English football, Bridge seems unusually subdued to me. If Chelsea want to win the league, games like yesterdays where the opposition have no ambition for anything other than a goalless draw will only be won if they throw a few more forward.
