Im rooting For Spurs, I dont live in England so i really dont have anything against Tottenham. Do Yankees fans in Europe or Asia hate the Red Socks?

I also like Jermaine Defoe, I wish he went to Arsenal.

Go Spurs!! Title is the most important thing, and the Spurs won't be contending for it. Chelsea however will. We need to be gaining on Chelsea.
Plus although Ive learned to hate Spurs just because I am an Arsenal fan, I have no personal reason to hate them. I absolutly hate Chelsea for trying to buy a championship. So I definitly hate Chelsea more. I only hate the spurs cause its my duty too.

I'm rooting for the referees to start throwing lighters at each other, abandon the match and send everyone home a loser.

Chelsea. There is no way i would want Spurs ever to win a match. Full stop. I don't care how many permetations you throw at me, I hate them more than anyone else. Although I must admit agains Chelse and Man U at the moment Id prefer a draw.

I didn't realize that if Spurs win they will be tied with Chelsea. I don't know the score of the match, but I would rater see a draw at this point.

Now that I said that, I will have to go and find out what the score was.

Well I just checked the score and 0-0 was the result. I'd say a good one to give both teams 1 point instead of either getting 3.

It was a poor game too, Spurs were content to leave Defoe up front on his own and pump high balls up to him which were easy for the Chelsea defence and Chelsea put lots of balls into the Spurs area without really making too many clear cut chances.

Now we've got 3 teams that are unbeaten in the new season so far....

Did anyone catch Jose Murinho's post-match interview? He made some interesting comments about Spurs putting 11 men in defence, and not interesting in playing football.

Didn't see it, but what does he expect from a team of less talent. He's going to see allot more of that in the future with teams wanting to get out with 1 point from Chelsea. Guess the EPL is a little different than what he's used to.

[R] added to thread title as per Terms of Service - but then again little things like us Mods doing this arn't appreciated, yet we'd get shouted at if we didn't by someone who had the match on tape delay......... :)

What a stupid thread, any sane Arsenal fan would say Spurs, titles the most important thing, and think how important those 2 points would be at the end of the season. Spurs fans can't exactly brag, we're first.

I don't think it was a tape delay in the US it was a PPV and I didn't see it after I posted that I would rather see a draw I went to the Chelsea threads to get the score.

Good thing you are keeping up on your position as moderator or you might have some pissed off person because I just blew the game for them.

Keep up the good work - I did state my opion in the other thread about the mods.

Easy choice. Spurs to win it or draw, although it ended a draw. As someone said earlier, Spurs have no chance. I only cheer for them 4 times a year (both games v. Chelsea and Man Utd). Other than that they can lose every other one.
I hear of some fans not wanting Spurs to win even if it helps us. How can you not want them to win if they are out of the running and are playing a club that is challenging us for the title? Common sense over passion folks.

Did some of you cheer for Spurs at the end of the '99 season that handed the title to Man Utd and not us?

Yeah, well, I'd agree with you, but there's something about Spurs that drives sanity away from many Arsenal fans. I was always told it was a London thing and that I wouldn't understand. Which is fine since I don't care...
