i no alot of people dont really care about shingaurds but what do u guys perfer...i perfer light shingaurds with no ankle thing i have the nike vapor shingaurds at 1.8 ounces and they work great

I have the nike bps contour shinguards they're a bit heavy but protect real well but they arent worth there 40 dollar price tag. I figure i should get the vapor shinguards since i own a pair of gold vapors so what good does light shoes do me if i have heavy shinguards.

I have a nice big chunky pair of adidas ones with the full ankle protection too that I've been wearing for years. Very solid and sturdy. However I've had a summer of wearing no shin pads and actually liked the lightness of it so I might look at some smaller ones in the future. The only problem being I tend to attract a lot of tackles to my ankles which the adidas ones protect. Maybe I could adapt them and remove the ankle section from the adidas ones and wear it like a sock.

I just cut the ankle guard off of my esteros, it makes them much easier to get on and off and they are the perfect length and width for shin protection.

Yeah i hate the ankle protection. It wastes time its easier to just slip the shinguard right in.
