"Sol might play on Monday in the Reserves against Coventry at Barnet," said Wenger. "He is fit again. He has been in full training with the ball for two or three weeks.

"He had a tear in the envelope of the Achilles. Had we had not taken the problem seriously, it could have become chronic. He could have played with it but he might have had pain the whole season. Now it has healed.

"We have not suffered too much [while he has been gone]. Pascal Cygan has done well. But we need three or four centre halves for the season.
At the start you do not need to rotate that much. But in October and November the players start going away for internationals.

I can't wait. He will be partnering Phillipe Senderos in the center of defense. Senderos is the man. Born to be a leader. He's the captain of our reserve team already.

Nice! Looks like we will see him in action in a week or so.

I know we've been winning without them and a draw this week, but when we face another tough opponent like Chelsea, Bolton & Liverpool I see Campbell taking charge of the back and not making some of the mistakes we've been making there. The victories have been great, but with the CL and future opponents being in some cases twice as good as the ones we've face so far I will feel more confident with Cambell.
