How many of you would like to see Zidane at Arsenal? I think he is a great playmaker and could compliment Thierry Henry and Dennis Bergkamp (when in full form). What do you think?

Hey guys, would any of you like to see Ronaldo at Arsenal? How about signing Nesta? and Totti? what about Van Nistelrooy or Lampard?
I think we should also build a time machine and bring a young Pele and Van Basten to Arsenal. I think that would really add to the squad.

Zidane is 2 slow, nowadays it seems like even Spain is to much for old Zizou.

if i were an arsenal fan i sure wouldnt want him.
arsenal dont need him. zidane is past it and i'd rather have pires as my #10.

Where the hell would he play? Also, one would have to take into account the fact that Henry needs alot of the ball to be effective and he has not really lit it up when playing with teams that include ZiZou...

I enjoy (or did previously) watching Zidane play. Very few players are as smooth or as calm with the ball. That being said....no room for him at the Arsenal inn...especially at this stage of his career.

Blade FENOMDuuuuuude!!!!!! you need to get off the coffee!!! However, if you're too sensitive to take a bit of teasing then this is not the forum for you.
As for Zidane, he's well past his best, which is why he's given up international football, and if we're going to see him in the EPL it's more likely to be with Bolton in 2/3 years time. ZZ is on the wrong part of the curve. AW buys players on their way up, not on their way down!
On top of that, his style of play wouldn't suit the Gunners. Like Kanu he likes a lot of time on the ball and to use his skill to go past players.That would put the breaks on our Blitzkrieg attacking style, which is exactly what he's done to the French national team over the last couple of years. Arguably, even with an ageing squad, had France continued to play like Arsenal they probably would have gone further in the last WC and in Euro 04? Would've been a brave coach to drop ZZ though!

Well now you realise that this isn't the site for you. I hope you enjoy another site. If you want to come back, PM us. I would suggest that you haven't had a good reception because of your attitude, not others. It doesn't really pay to come on saying your the 'biggest Arsenal fan ever' and then not knowing much pre-1999!! Also infuriating other boards and general trolling isn't going to help your cause. I hope you find another board that will suit your needs.
