Rangers News:

We've sold out the tiny 756 away ticket allocation. The match is completely sold out. Bean is reported to have come through after a minor injury against Crewe, so there's a good chance we'll start the same XI. Sh!ttu may travel and take a place on the bench.

The Opponent:

Defender Guy Butters picked up an injury midweek and is expected to be out. Midfielders Charlie Oatway and Richard Carpenter have returned to fitness, but will likely start on the bench.

Brighton's last five (most recent first):
H Wolves L, 0-1
A Watford D, 1-1
A Leicester W, 1-0
H Preston W, 1-0
H Bristol Rovers (League Cup) L, 1-2

The Series:

Rangers hold a slight lead, 29-13-27. The teams played three 2-1 games last year, with the R's winning two at home (League and LDV Vans) and Brighton winning the league match at their home. By chance, I saw both Brighton trips into Loftus Road last season.

The Referee:

Brian Curson gets the assignment. He's worked six matches this season, all at League One or Two level, issuing 16 yellows and 1 red. Last season, he worked our 3-2 home win against Notts County and Brighton's 3-0 home win over Bournemouth.

What a sweet victory!

The boys left it late, but Rose made sure we came back with 3 points.

We're now at the heady heights of 7th place!

Very nice. It was important that we do well during the stretch of games with our fellow recently promoted clubs (Plymouth, Crewe, Brighton) -- winning all three, two of them away from home, was certainly more than most of us would have expected.

This next stretch is a killer -- Villa (in the Carling Cup), Leicester (13th), Coventry (11th), Stoke (3rd), West Ham (5th). Ouch. Let's hope we can get our fair share of points from that bunch.
