Ahvaz is in the Premier League? Wow. Never thought of that town as having a Premier League level team. Then again, I was only 14 or so when I was there... almost 30 years ago. So I wasn't paying attention to soccer in the way I do now.

Theyve been in the premier league for about 3 seasons now and are doing quite well.

Ahwaz has to great clubs that are major runners for the title this season.

Foolad has been among the top 4 in IPL for about the past 4 years now. Many people blamed the fact that they cant seem to go all the way on their youth and inexperience. However, this year is a little different and I really think they have what it takes to go all they way. They also have the best youth development system in Iran at the current time.

Esteghlal Ahwaz is the only privately owned club in the IPL right now. They have made some huge transfers this season and have a very likeable team.
