REV IT UP

"Backup goalkeeper Doug Warren suffered a concussion in training this week and is out for the foreseeable future.
Coach Steve Nicol said he wasn't certain what the team would do about replacing Warren. The keeper was provided to the team by the league when Adin Brown and Kyle Singer both came down with injuries."
Wow, the Revs are ever going to get another goal keeper because they will all probebly be to afraid to join and be parinoid of getting a concussion or some other injury.

I'm not too worried about that- if Spinal Tap could keep finding drummers, I'm sure we can keep finding keepers. At least they aren't spontaneously combusting or anything. :)

"the Revolution went 9-0-1 in the final five matches."
I hope we can do this again. That's 28 points!

Better than 5 points a game! Who says we weren't a good team back then? :)

ROFL!
Out of curiosity, I wondered which poster wrote that quote, and found no one had.
Of course! It had to be one of the professional sports writers.
No brainer. I picked Frank.

What has more relevance -- the last five games of the past two seasons or the previous five games of the current season?
LittleFrank is looking for answers under toadstools. :p

!
Go back and take another look at the quote---it's poorly phrased but he's saying that the Revs were 9-0-1 in the last five games---of those two seasons. Just a bad job of writing and proofing.
With Warren for an indefinite period and Franchino out for the remainder of the season I think the Revs will set an almost unbeatable all time record for man-days lost due to injury. Talk about a team being snake bitten.
Interesting comments for Ralston. While I find most quotes from player to be just meaningless sound bites, I think Ralston was speaking honestly and clearly in his assessment of this season. What stood out for me was--injuries requiring constantly changing allignments and that what could go wrong did---all leading to players second guessing themselves with a resultant loss of confidence and loss of killer the instinct. I'm glad he will be Captain down the stretch.

According to Joey himself, he will only be out another few weeks.

I think he's already proven to be a poor judge of his own fitness for duty.
