This long-distance love affair between the Loyalists and Stevie P is really sweet, but I was wondering if there has been any actual contact yet between our esteemed leaders and Mr. Pastorino. Dysko? Blitzzfan?

For example, do we have any news on our supporters section tickets? We don't need any of this $30 stuff, right? Dysko did you say you have a meeting with the front office? When is that, and maybe we could have a supporters meeting after that?

Anyway, this is really exciting that the ball seems to be rolling.

Loyalists forever!

I too would just like to add that I'm happy the ball seems to be rolling, finally. Maybe my body functions will get back to normal now.

And Czar, I'm not trying to get off the subject here but I think you've come up with a brilliant name for the supporter's group.

LOYALISTS FOREVER.

I know everyone wants to come up with a new name once our team announces its official name but I think LOYALISTS FOREVER sounds perfect.

Needs another change. You are a Supporters club, not a group.

What’ up with the Geocities banner that won’t go away no matter how many times I close it?

Loyalists forever!

Yes, SLC MLS contacted us.

Dysko and I meet with the brass (not primarily Pastorino) soon.

OK, in MLS fashion I'll give you a vague date: next week.
Actually, Wednesday.
Unless priorities shift... then Friday.

Anyone one into designing a scarf.

The location of the Supporters Group/club is also on the table.

More to come...

Seems like the scarf should be designed AFTER we know the colors and, oh, maybe the name of the team? ;)

Arelius: Just another of the joys of geocities... I have the same problem there.

Please pass along how stupid everyone thinks the name "Real" is. Do it in a diplomatic way, but make sure Mr. Pastorino knows that it is a terrible idea. "Royal" would be much better, as would "Alliance SLC" or "Highlanders" or just about anything else. Make sure he understands that many of his team's potential hard-core supporters feel this way, and there is little evidence suggesting any significant portion any potential market segment believes "Real" to be a good idea.

If this ends up as the team name, I know I'd be embarassed by extension. I'd refer to the team as "Salt Lake," and only wear team apparel that doesn't have "Real" on it. I don't know if it would affect my attendance. It might; it might not. I'm not willing to overstate my objection to the name, but it exists, and it is strong.
