Just wondering if anyone has any input on the quality of clubs for children in Paris. Most of the strong football teams are in the suburbs. What clubs in the city itself offer good instruction? Is the Paris Universite Club any good? Also, if you know of any private trainers or schools in Paris that work with younger children 8-9 please let me know. Thank you.

Le PUC has a football school (ecole de football) for the kids that is probably scheduled on Wednesday and teams that play on week-ends.
So, you go to football school and if they think you're good enough (usually not too hard depending on attendance), then you get to play the week-ends in the team.
From the web site, they have 450 kids in football school and 300 in the teams. They have a staff team of 35, which is a lot.

I do agree that you have to do homework and make sure the kids do something valuable during football school and that it is not too crowded or under-staffed, maybe by attending a session.

For other schools in Paris, I would tend to ask at the mairie de Paris. I am sure they can give you info.

Sorry but I don't know much. I used to go to football school but that was a long time ago and in the burbs.
