Earlier this year I saw part of a match between what I thot was Liverpool and some other team, maybe somwhere in Scandanavia? but I only saw about 10 minutes and there was no audio

Anyway, Liverpool had this left wing who had amazing speed and a very accurate cross. I thot his name was Michael Finn, but I don't remember his number. Do I have the right guy, right team, even the right universe? Help me out before this drives me completely crazy.

Probably. I didn't think he was that young. I was further confused because he isn't on the Liverpool roster anymore and there is a player named Steve Finnan, but I was pretty sure that wasn't him.

Thanks for the help.

left wing who had amazing speed and a very accurate cross. No, no, and no. Not Finnan.

Was the game taped, or live? We haven't played any Scandinavian teams this year, even in preseason.

He's probably talking about Graz.

He's probably talking about Graz.I think Stephen Warnock played the second half of the return leg vs. Graz, but other than that it was Kewell on the left wing the whole time. Warnock would be more of a random name. Does that sound more like it, Party? He's number 35.

Thanks for the input. I'm pretty sure it was Michael Owen. I'm not too good with names. Definitely not Steve Finnan.

Here's other details I can remember.

Liverpool was in green and white. I'm guessing they were away.

The game was on about mid-day during the week yet it was a night game. I'm assuming it was live as western Europe is 6 - 8 hours ahead. No one else knew anything about the game so it may have been taped. Sometime early in the summer, but could have been as early as March.

I saw it on FoxSportsWorld, I think. Stopped of at a little cafe on west Madison in Chicago for some lunch. Saw about the first 20 minutes of the game and one of those crosses led to a goal. One thing I'm sure of, I did hear an announcer say "Michael ______" but that was all I could hear.

So we'll assume it's Michael Owen. Liverpool lost a good one in him. Did they trade him and who did they get in return?

Did micheal play against graz ;)

But yeh... traded him.. got £8m or so for him and a pretty useful little midfielder as well, which aint bad considering he was well past his best and hadnt really performed for us for a few years... Maybe we should have tried him out as a winger...

But yeh.. hes gone.. had never really settled in the side anyway... dont think he will be missed too much...

Ah... i know who you mean now...

Your thinking of Micheal finnegan.... Yeh.. he was pretty good.. he was quiet fat when he signed, and grew whiskers on his chin, but then he grew thin again... then he died so we had to begin again.... :(
