I kind of got this idea from the other thread where I mentioned that Blackwell was finding the player who can and can't play. So I thought it would be good to do a quick evaluation.
GK:
Neil Sullivan - Been tremendous between the pipes. A couple of straight shut outs with spectacular saves.
Scott Carson - Simply biding his time.
Defense:
Stephen Crainey - Seems to have been solid. I'd like to hear from someone who has seen him play more.
Clark Carlisle - Seems to have made himself a place in the Starting XI.
Paul Butler - Played great and been a great captain. Wolves is really missing him right now.
Michael Duberry - Looks like he's lost his spot in the Starting XI to Carlisle.
Matthew Killgallon - Definately plenty of potential. Looks like he might be stuck behind some of the other defenders.
Gary Kelly - He may be getting too old for the Premiership, but he's still a very good Championship player.
Midfield:
Frazer Richardson - Definately shown some potential and will see lots of playing time this year. Could be a great player for the future.
Jermaine Wright - Played his guts out against Plymouth and appears to be a solid player in the midfield.
Danny Pugh - What a steal. Leads the team in goal scoring and looks to be a great young player.
Matthew Spring - Haven't seen enough to figure him out. Should have had a goal against Plymouth if not for a great diving save.
Simon Walton - What a great time for Leeds to unearth a great young talent. I'd like to hear what some other posters think of this guy.
Seth Johnson - Will he ever play again?
Aaron Lennon - When will he get his chance?
Jaime McMaster - Looks to be a solid player off the bench and spot-starts.
Forwards:
Michael Ricketts - Probably the player with the most pressure to perform. Has he lost the scoring touch?
Julian Joachim - He's brought great pace to the club and will hopefully pick up on his goal scoring very soon.
Danny Cadamarteri - Haven't seen enough.
Brian Deane - Had a great game against Plymouth and will hopefully start scoring in bunches.
Simon Johnson - On loan at Sunderland and has made two appearances off the bench. I'd like to see what he can do for the club.
What do you guys think? Opinions? This would be great for someone like me who can only listen and read about games.
