I read somewhere the surface on the field that SLC will be starting on is artificial. If this is true, can someone please tell me if it is the new style like the Mutts play on or the old style like Dallas played on for a few years. The new type is almost exactly like grass; therefore it doesn't speed up the ball as much and decreases the amount of injuries. I find that watching a game on the old style is almost imposible to watch because the players have trouble controlling the ball. Also, I hope that they will at least get their own rug. I hate watching a game with gridirons on the field.

If I am wrong and they will be playing on grass, please tell me. Either way, a stadium of your own needs to be built.

Yes, it's artificial. I don't know about old or new style, but every Blitzz game has had the annoying football lines on it, so that's what I would expect for the MLS team, too, but we can always hope.

Maybe you could find more information about the type of turf if you search the internet for Rice Eccles Stadium. I don't care enough to search myself. :)

or you guys could just visit the Loyalist website:

The official website of SLC MLS supporters.
We have a whole section on the stadium, along with all the potential SSS locations.
