Oh man I love it. LOVE it. This kid has heart, skills and cojones. :D

“We can also win in Europe and we will demonstrate it. Arsenal are more ‘galactic’ than Real. Obviously Real are also favourites to win as they have a fantastic side,” said the undefeated side’s Spaniard.

btw it says he has 4 goals... we know better ;)

Reyes may not have scored today, but he's awesome. The guy has come into his own this year. The way he's playing he'll hit 30 goals no problem.

The great thing is that a statement like this could never ever come back to bite you in the ass. Ever.

Wenger will let play him when Arsenal really needs him.
I guess Wnger favour Pires more than Reyes.

I do love the kid anyway, he talks the talk and I do believe he'll walk the walk(sic!).

But sometimes it only bites you in the ass for one season. It's the next year when it comes to fruition.. ;)

Hey, that's cool. Just remember, Mourinho is all knowing and perfect. Because his arrogance will never bite him in the ass either. :)

Of course it won't.. :p

Just remember to let him know he gets a one year free pass. Wait, this is Chelsea. If he doesn't win at least a double this year Roman will be scouring the world looking for a new manager. I'm pretty sure LA will have fired Steve Sampson by then...*L*

I kind of enjoyed the fact that Arsenal and Chelsea switched it up today. The Arse grinds out the 1-0 win and Chelski goes on a scoring rampage. Keeps the so called "experts" on their toes.

Oh, BTW nice: are you interested in getting a little 3-way wager action going with me and Father_Ted? We're considering calling it the "BS Cup". The team of the three with the most points in games against the others wins. The 2 losers have to carry the winner's crest as an avatar for 2 or 3 weeks in the summer off-season and add "(Insert Winning Club Here): 2004-2005 BS Cup Champions" to their sig line for the same period.

Of course, Father Ted and I will have our standard wager for both league games this year, as well, and I'm sure we could both work you into the schedule for the "Head to Head" competition as well.

See my response in the ManUtd. thread.

The term "galáctico" refers to a kind of player or a style of play that is aesthetically pleasing. Zidane, Ronaldo, Roberto Carlos and Figo are "galácticos", while Helguera and Samuel are not, and neither would have Vieira been if he had gone to Madrid. The term has nothing to do with effectiveness, I mean, would anyone call the Madrid that won the CL with Ivan Campo and Aitor Karanka galácticos?
What Reyes is saying is that Arsenal, not Madrid, is the club playing "football from another planet".

Always refreshing to see players not getting a bit ahead of themselves, innit?
