Hopefully our PBP will be handled by "The Voice of BigSoccer Arsenal Champions League Action", Ian Lazoda. If not, I'm sure somebody will volunteer and do a bang up job (Any volunteers, BTW?).

Just a few links to get us started:

The UEFA.com Matchday 1 Preview (http://www.uefa.com/competitions/UCL/FixturesResults/Round=1968/Match=1077154/index.html)

The BBC CL Preview (http://news.bbc.co.uk/sport1/hi/football/europe/3649576.stm)

Kick-Off: 2:45 PM EDT.

Line Ups to follow

BTW, anyone interested in audio can sign up at uefa.com. There is a free 7-day trial, and you can either go $5.95/mo or $49.95 for the whole year. Whichever, your credit card is not charged until the trial is up. I signed up for the monthly, and if it sucks I'll dump it right after the match.

Thanks Coach I'll check it out.

But please keep the updates coming as I can't find a pub in Orange County, Ca that is showing it. Man The OC sucks for those of you who watch the show it's really really just like that here. :D

Make sure to keep the updates going all match. I'll be getting text from the match as well, but my phone is almost out of juice.

Ian should be back from the doctor prior to the match, and his PBP is legendary (trust me, some "old school" posters who aren't around much any more will be back for this). Ian usually has about 3 or 4 match trackers going at once, distilling the "gold" from them and giving it to us.

Hmmm, 11:50 here in Dallas. I'm going to go scrounge up some lunch before thsi thing starts.

Although that lineup does make me so happy for now, and for the future, I have a question. Where is Freddie?

There was talk of Freddie nursing a slight back injury on Sky Sports News last night.

- Welcome to Highbury for this evening's UEFA Champions League Group E match between Arsenal FC and PSV Eindhoven. Both sides will be hoping to improve on last season's campaigns, when the English side exited at the quarter-final stage at the hands of London rivals Chelsea FC, while PSV were eliminated from a close group, edged out by RC Deportivo La Coruña and eventual finalists AS Monaco FC.
- While it is PSV's 9th season of UEFA Champions League football - only Manchester United FC and FC Porto have been involved in more campaigns - they have yet to qualify from the opening group stage. Coach Guus Hiddink is without defender Kasper Bøgelund, sidelined for six weeks with a thigh injury sustained in the Third Qualifying Round of the UEFA Champions League. PSV defeated FK Crvena Zvezda to reach the group stage.
- Arsenal are unbeaten in 45 games in England, winning their first five Premiership fixtures. Manager Arsène Wenger makes one change from the weekend victory over Fulham FC, Fredrik Ljungberg missing out because of a back injury. Cameroon international Lauren takes his place. England defender Sol Campbell is training again but will not return for a month, leaving Jérémie Aliadière as Wenger's only long term injury.

Matchcentre is up and running...:D

I had signed up last season, and it's a satisfactory product. I had signed up for the 4.95 monthly fee. Can't complain. I like to hear the matches live if ESPN aren't covering them, and they didnt show a lot of the Arsenal games last season.
