Hi all, ive been a longtime lurker and have had 2 accounts, but in total have only made about 5 posts combined.

Anyways Ive seen a thread or two in the past about kits, but they appear long gone. Anyone know where I can find a place that Sells Reyes or Bergkamp kits, that will ship to Canada. Also, is there any place (like maybe an ebay store/auction, I cant find), that sells the officials at a discounted rate for some reason?

The best site so far seems to be Arseweb.

http://www.soccer.com/IWCatProductPage.process?Merchant_Id=1&Section_Id=1805&pcount=&Product_Id=141527 $69.99 plus $10 to customize - not sure about patches.

http://www.worldsoccershop.com/shop/product_detail.asp?ProductGroupID=2184&Department=9 $86.99 with patches.

http://www.kitbag.com/stores/kitbag_4_5/products/kit_launch.aspx?launchid=15&pid=15944 34.99 Pounds approx $67 not sure about patches.

Those are some to start with. www.arsenal.com has them, the BigSoccer shop has them. Check them out or look do a google search for soccer shirts.

Ebay sells unmitigated crap, for the most part. If you just want a cheap shirt to wear to the pub and aren't real picky, you can get one that vaguely resembles the official kit.

I'd try the BigSoccer shop first and go from there.

From what I've heard from other people, KitBag is hit and miss on quality and customer service.

I just got myself a Bergkamp shirt from Arseweb. The service was great, postage cost very reasonable and I got my shirt within 7 days. I'd definitely recommend them.

The only problem I've had with Kitbag is the price of shipping from the UK. Outside of that it usually arrives in 7-10 days.

There is a group of stores called "Sports World" dotted around the country. I got my home and away shirts there. Genuine stuff at £25 per shirt. If you have them with names already on, (TH14 & JAR9 being the most popular) they are £30. Add £5 extra for long sleeves. The yellow shirt is the same, and good (similar and cheaper priced shirts for England home and away and Brazil). I have the lot!! Jeff.

Hey, it's the first CL Matchday. Jeff had more important things on his mind, so he had a temporary brain cramp...

We kid because we love, Jeff. ;)

One bit of advice if you buy your shirts in the US and plan to take them over to Arsenal World of Sport for number snad patches, you may have a problem. I had splara10 take my shirts over and AWS wouldn't put numbers or patches on them because they said that they are different than the ones they sell at the shop.

Does anyone know if there is a difference between what gets shipped to the US and what gets shipped to England? Either there is or the shop I bought them at is selling ones that aren't real.

Just so you know.

Yes, to add to this. I was with Sean yesterday and it seems that the area where the printed name goes, is a different size on American shirts than UK shirts. Both are official, but it seems the fantastic  Arsenal marketing machine, didn't really think that there were nuts like Dave who would get the name sprinted in the UK. So beware that if you buy a shirt in the US, there is a good chance you will not be able to get the name printed at Arsenal World of Sport. I know this won't affect many people, but it will affect some on this board.

I might be a nut but the cost differential between buying them here in there was about $25 a shirt. Retail proce is the same, it's just knowing someone who owns a soccer shop. Well - I guess I'll be returning the American ones when Sean gets back. That really sucked. The other downside is you have to be carfull when ordering the patches from some US retailers because they will put a regular EPL patch on them and this year for Arsenal they have the Champions EPL patch. Make sure you ask for that.

The cost is stupid here. I seem to remember one of the newer regulars (Dave M?) putting a thread up re getting home shirts for about £20. If you see this, can you re-put the info please to save me going through pages and pages of threads? Cheers.

Well I took the plunge and and had Sean pick me up the shirts and I'll just have to suck it up on the cost. Now I know.

Going to Arsenal World of Sport is like being a kid in a candy store. You walk in and you don't even know where to start. and when you get home with a suitcase full of stuff and look at your credit card bill it could be well over $500 like mine was when I went last year. But I got some great things like a new tie for work, Pires Bobble head, hats, sweatshirts man I just couldn't stop. :D

"Gutbomb": If you read my post properly and where I am based then it's obvious that the goods were purchased in £'s. However, in Canada they should be using £'s and not $'s. They're still under the Queen. Just look on their money !!

Hey!! Having the Queen on our money is a sign of repsect for our legacy in the Commonwealth. However, it is not something that the vast majority of Canadians really think or care about. You should be aware that all formal ties to the Crown were removed in 1982....

As far as bills go, the queen is only on the 20, she used to be on the 2 as well but thats just a piece of change now. However she is on the back of every coin. I don't understand it either, but in typical canadian fashion, I am indifferent on it. Anyways thanks for all your help.

As a follow up question, anyone know a place where I can buy the official Arsenal patch, numbers and lettering? I could then take it to my local tailor and get it sewn on for cheap (versus Iron press or whatever). Also it doesn't seem like for jersey prices it makes sense to order outside my soccer shops. Average jersey price here is $110-120CAD for a blank one. Luckily I found a steal and got it for $90CAD when I went to the armpit of Canada (Edmonton).
But yeah any information on buying lettering is appreciated.
