Rangers News:
Rangers are hoping to collect points from consecutive matches for the first time this season after Saturday's 3-2 home win over Plymouth. It looks like we got no new injuries on the weekend. Ainsworth, Thorpe, and Culkin are still out. Sh!ttu could see action, although he was left off the bench on Saturday.
The Stat Pack on the official site can be found here (http://www.qpr.premiumtv.co.uk/page/PreMatchAnalysisDetail/0,,10373,00.html).
The Opponent:
Crewe is coming off a 0-3 away loss to Burnley this weekend. Their season to date (oldest first):
H Cardiff D
A Sunderland L
A Forest D
H West Ham L
H Blackpool W (League Cup)
A Derby W
A Burnley L
So, an away win at Derby, which is impressive, but a draw and a loss in two home Championship games means we have a chance of getting points here.
Their only new injury is to 17-year-old fullback Billy Jones (http://www.crewealex.premiumtv.co.uk/page/NewsDetail/0,,10414~563760,00.html), who is "doubtful" to play tomorrow. One of the potential replacements is Marcus Bignot's brother, Paul Bignot.
Crewe generally plays a 4-4-3, but it's unclear whether they'll stick with it tomorrow (http://www.crewealex.premiumtv.co.uk/page/NewsDetail/0,,10414~563729,00.html) after giving up a Championship-high 15 goals after 6 matches. The manager's quotes indicate he's leaning toward sticking with the formation.
The Series:
Rangers lead the all-time series 8-2-5. This year marks six of the last eight seasons we've been in the same division with Crewe, beginning in 97/98. Before that, we were only in the same division once in the history of the clubs, in 1963/64.
The Referee:
The Football League website has the list of referees up for games of the 15th, 18th, and 19th. Not sure why they've already taken down tomorrow's referees. Don't know who's working the game.
