Any Arsenal supporters in St. Louis?

I really want to watch the PSV game tomorrow. According to Setanta's web site, the only establishment that carries it in the St. Louis area is Pepper's on Gravois. Anyone been there? I never have. I called them and they said they have 1 (ONE!?!? And they subscribe to Setanta??!?!?) TV in the whole place. I have to call back later tonight and talk to "Steve" the owner to find out if he will let me watch.

Setanta has the game on at 4:00 (central time) which I don't understand. UEFA's site says the game starts at 20.45 central European time, which would be 1:45 St. Louis time. I guess Setanta has it on tape-delay and is starting it right after it ends.

What's up I'm a new member from the STL been a Gunner fan since high school. I'm from Wentzville and I called Peppers the lady who answered the phone said that she would have to talk to the owner and call her back in 10 mins to find out if they are showing it. Peppers is on S. Gravios take 55 to exit on Bates until it meets w/ Gravios and it should be there close to Roosevelt High School if you know the area. Peace

Welcome to the boards! Nice to see a StL footie fan!

I did call the owner last night and he said they wouldn't be showing it 'cause it was PPV. So I had to content myself with the pbp here on BigSoccer.

Oh, and by the way, GO CARDINALS!

Thank God, some Saint Louis Gooners!

I have yet to find a regular place to watch any footbal...except my house, of course. Sadly, I discovered a pub in Des Moines, Iowa that carries FSW but have no place in a soccer rich city such as ours.

Let's combine our efforts to search for a place to gather for matches., It would be great to have some fellow supporters to hang out and follow our team.

Please email me at stephen.barr@momentumww.com so we can begin a serious dialogue.

A good place to watch footie is Grassi's West restaurant at the corner of Lindbergh and Conway. They've got members that include Mike Sorber and Harry Keough (of the 1950 US WC team.)

Unfortunately, they wanted to get as much football as they could without breaking the bank, so they went with the Spanish package. So if you want to watch Mexican, South American, Italian, or Spanish soccer, it's a gold mine, but not much EPL there except for what's on ESPN2 or FSE.

If you find any pubs or bars or restaurants in St. Louis that have Fox Sports World, post it here!

By the way, I have discovered through sad experience that calling a bar or restaurant and asking if they have Fox Sports World doesn't work. They are all idiots. They all respond "yes!" and I get all excited, and I go there, and I realize that they thought I meant Fox Sports Midwest or another Fox affiliate. NO ONE has any idea what Fox Sports World is. I try to tell them it's the channel that shows lots of soccer games, and they look at me like I'm from Mars.

I had heard about Grassi's from a buddy but I am glad you made me aware of the lack of FSW. The other leagues are obviously great, but I am an EPL junky...and a Gooner so I could really care less if David Beckham finally scored for the big spenders. But I digress.

True about the local pubs carrying FS Regional channels and being clueless. I have learned over the course of time that you have to ask all the right questions. Do you have satellite or digital cable? Do you have FSW not just FSMS? When they say, "I'm not sure." I say, "Can you check your channel guide for me real quick?" Then I get the expected disappointment. Rest assured, if I ever find that place with the FSW I will announce it ASAP.

Hey fellas, thanks for the welcome! I get fox sports world on DirecTV if they have it they should at least be able to get some EPL games however you both are right in thinking they have Fox Sports World and it's just Fox sports Midwest. I will check around St. Charles County to see if anyone has it. My good (and VERY hot :) ) lady friend works at that sports bar w/ the biggest tv screen in the state on the Ameristar Casino I will ask her when she gets a free minute to see if they have any soccer or Setanta. I will let you all know if I find something (if not I will dazzle them with my COLLLLLD CHAIN and force them to turn on soccer!!! LMAO...j/k) FYI my name is a play off of the Soul Train and the character Roscoe P Coltrane of the Dukes of Hazard...Thank ya now! Roscoe

They aren't needed... because we AGREE with you! Bloody Americans!

I really can't complain, though. Can you imagine if I had been an Arsenal fan in this country 15 years ago, before the web?

*shudder*
