GOAL: Which Arsenal player do you respect most?
Cesc: Bergkamp. He is an experienced veteran and he is a true professional. He has accomplished many great things in this sport and will be remembered as one of the all-time great players. I’ve been very impressed by him.

It is no secret that I love Cesc. He seems very mature for his age. Great interview.

Cesc listed his hero as one Josep Guardiola. Anyone know who he is? Is he a soccer player or does Cesc have the maturity to see heroism in something than the football pitch?

Guardiola joined Barcelona as a boy and played in all the different youth teams.
Under the leadership of Johann Cruyff he made his full debut in 1990 and by the age of 20 was regarded as the most creative player in the team.

Hmm seems mature for his age both on and off the field. Has anyone checked his birth certificate, I bet he is older than he says he is.
Oh wait I got confused I thought this was a Freddie Adu thread.

sep guardiola??? surely your takin the mick..Sorry for asking the stupid question, but nope, I was serious. I didn't follow much soccer in the 90s, apart from watching the WCs. Cable was slow coming out to the rural areas, my street didn't get it until 1997, dial up made the internet too much of a pain, and I didn't get a TV until Japorea. And reading about soccer if you're not watching it is really boring. So, sorry I didn't know who Sep Guardiola is/was.

Dear God, for the sake of the credibility of the BigSoccer Arsenal fans, could those of you who don't know much about the game learn to do Google searches on your own instead of posting your ignorance for all to see? This isn't as bad as not knowing who Big Tone was, but still, have some pride....
