Here we go again. I guess the Kerry campaign is unable or unwilling to run on the issues, lest his Senate record come under scrutiny.

DNC TO LAUNCH FRESH ATTACK ON BUSH GUARD DUTY: WILL RAISE QUESTIONS ABOUT 1978 CAMPAIGN LIT (http://drudgereport.com/dnc77.htm)

**Exclusive**

Faster than a CBS eye can blink, dogged Dems are set to take to the airwaves anew hoping to keep questions about President Bush's National Guard duty in play, the DRUDGE REPORT has learned.

Candidate Kerry apparently has rejected former President Clinton's advice not to get further locked in a 2004 Vietnam quagmire.

I hope you are wrong, Ian. I'd love to hear Senator Kerry try to debate the issues relevant to this election.

To be honest, I'd love to hear both Bush and Kerry debate the issues. Each has avoided it because it's nothing more than a styrofoam crutch for the both of 'em.

In 2000, Bush opened his National Guard Association speech: "General, I am reporting for duty."

Aha. So he DID actually report for duty in Alabama. ;)

This is a bad move by the DNC. If they would only stick to the current issues, Kerry would win. But they will lose because of silly things like this.

I must say that Roy Keane is looking VERY presidential in your avatar. ;) :D

Ah, but there's a reason Kerry doesn't want to stick with the issues.......

(and yes, it is monotype)

Hmmm - 120 days
Isn't that about 4 months.
How long was Kerry's Viet Nam tour?
Oh, right - 4 months (including 1 month of training).

:)

Kerry should learn from Clinton.

After all, it was a Draft Dodger that beat two war heroes.

He wants to lose? Given that Bush is the worst fiscal manager in the history of the United States, I would have expected Kerry to stick with the issues. At least he's ready for duty.

So, why doesn't CBS just pull it, like they did with the Reagan movie?

Bush is ahead in the polls :)

With 47 days to go, every day counts - CBS trying hard to help Kerry

If you read the link, you'll see it's a "fair use" issue. It's not like when Chris Matthews asked the Bushies to drop an ad because he believed the Bushies were misrepresenting Kerry's position through creative editing.

So this is an apples-orange comparison.

Hey, I can post irrelevant stuff too, but mine's funny (if you can solve the riddle.)
