Must Watch TV. Not.
I can see why the Reeps are running with this, but I can't possibly see why any normal human being would find this interesting. You actually want to watch this?

That's right. Hundreds of Vietnam Vets can't tell their story - - because it hurts Kerry's chances in November.
Democracy - what a wonderful thing :)

The Vietnam Vets for the Truth held a rally in Washington D.C. I watched most of it on C-SPAN. John O'Neill of the Swiftvets delivered a fine speech. But the most moving speech I heard was by Larua Bartholomew Armstrong, daughter of Lt. Col. Roger ("Black Bart") Bartholomew, a First Air Cavalry rocket artillery helicopter pilot who was killed in Vietnam on Thanksgiving Day 1968, when she was eight years old. Ms. Armstrong's focus, and that of the other speakers too, was on John Kerry's activity after he finished his time in Vietnam. She made the point that one "didn't have to attack the warrior to attack the war" -- a point so basic that even an immature leftist like me had the decency to grasp it in 1971. Yet John Kerry did not. And, getting to the heart of John Kerry's role, she noted that what the winter soldiers did in 1971 did not require courage; it just required a high visibility leader with access to Ted Kennedy and a willingness to betray the men he served with.
Ms. Armstong concluded with a story about her father and Rick Rescorla, the security chief for Morgan Stanley, who died in the World Trade Center on 9/11. In the early 1990s, Rescorla told Armstrong that her father, "Black Bart," had saved his life in Vietnam. He did so by flying his helicopter into a creek bed where Rescorla was stranded, and pulling him out just before the enemy arrived. Bartholomew received no medal for this; he was just doing his duty. So was Rescorla, on 9/11, when he safely evacuated 3,700 people before he perished. Many of them likely would have perished too had not Bartholomew saved Rescoria's life in Vietnam.
These are the kind of men that John Kerry branded as war criminals.

It was great. He killed.
But it was the strangest thing...then Colin Powell was there trying to erase the evidence.

You realize, as long as you quote a blog to make your points, no one will ever take you seriously.

That would logically mean, Chicago1871, that no one should take you seriously! Care to rephrase?

My favorite part was the girl who spoke whose father died in Vietnam. He would have lived if George W. Bush actually went to vietnam and had been there to rescue him, but he didn't. Then if he hadn't been killed in Vietnam, he would have been working as a cop in the Brentwood section of LA in the early 90s. His potential beat went unmanned on that fateful night. So in short, if Dubya wouldn't have wussed out on Veitnam, Nicole and Ron would be alive today. When asked to comment on the quircky turn of events that allowed him to excape criminal liability, OJ Simpson said:
"now watch this drive."

... She made the point that one "didn't have to attack the warrior to attack the war" -- a point so basic that even an immature leftist like me had the decency to grasp it in 1971...
I asked this question in another thread, but never got an answer. Perhaps you can help me.
What exactly did John Kerry do/say that was so treasonous or sold out veterans? My understanding of the situation was that upon returning from service in Vietnam, Kerry became opposed to the war and was a part of a vetrans against the war group who protested the war in Vietnam. From that protest involvement, Kerry testified before Congress about his experiences in Vietnam and how those experiences contributed to his opposition to the war in Vietnam.
So - my understanding - Kerry went into the service, served in combat in Vietnam, returned home, opposed the war, joined in veterans against the war protests, and testified before Congress as to his reasons for opposing the war. He served when his country called, and he followed his convictions in opposing a war he felt unjustified upon return.
Where is the treason? What did he do that any American or more specifically any Vietnam-veteran should be filled with so much spite toward him. Other than being a democrat.
I'm not being sarcastic, I genuinely don't understand where the argument that he betrayed Vietnam vets comes from. Help me out.

Why is that? I have never quoted a blog.
If your point is that technically BS is a blog, then you would be correct, but I try to avoid using BS posts as any sort of proofs. I simply agree or disagree with statements made here.

As a Viet Nam swift boat vet I would have to support a brother in arms, (Kerry), over a deserter. (Bush). It's really quite a simple choice. No matter what the RNC/Fox/Safe er...White House says.
As a congressman once said about President Clinton.
Anything it takes to remove Bush from office. Impeach him, vote him out, assasinate him. Just get him out of office. For the sake America and the world.
