Let's have everyone go on record with their picks. Name the winner and the spread (the numbers are too difficult b/c of third parties). This is not about what you WANT to happen, but what you THINK will be the result. I want the Red Sox to win the pennant, but I'd still bet on the Yankees.

Bush by 7 points.

Not going to hedge with a "Well, at least I made the right prediction" in case disaster or Diebold strikes. Kerry over Hitler by 5.

Who is that Hitler guy and why is he not getting any publicity?

Kerry over Hitler by 5.

Wow. Kerry can't even beat a Nazi by more than 5 points? Shows how weak a candidate you believe him to be.

Ok, I'll play:

I say President Bush beats Senator Kerry in the Popular vote by 2 points, and in the electoral college by some 10 electoral votes. I think it will be close, either way.

Bush takes PV by 3.
Bush takes EC by 10.

I have a bad feeling that the Deaniacs are going to get out hte vote come Novemeber and Bush will win the popular vote and Kerry will win the electoral vote. If it weren't for the WOT, I would laugh and laugh as Dems told Reps to suck it up. Someone in Ohio should keep tabs on the retal cars instate and see if they all get taken the day before the election.

In any event, my prediction is: Bush is the first candidate to win a majority of the vote since . . . . . Bush in 88, Poular vote goes: 52/46 Electoral college goes something like 300/250.

Kerry by 5 in the popular, and a whisker in the electoral. Come January, though, Bush fabricates another terror threat, and tells the American People (tm) that with all the danger, he should be given special war-time powers to continue on, ala Giuliani in '01. He furthermore convinces folks that this can be done by Congress, rather than by the guidelines for amending the constitution. Congress approves it along party lines, after which the Democrats take him to court. Bush wins, 5-4.

The country would implode. Rioting in the major cities.

Sad thing is, I can see it happening.

Why? It didn't happen last time he was elected 5-4.

Just saying that if it happens again, the anger would be hotter than a thousand suns. Given all the hatred he's built up in the last 4 years, and add to that another stolen election? Wow, I could only imagine.

Hatred by SOME, the view of SOME that the election was stolen.

I love the blanket condemnations around here, as if these views are the ONLY views.

Tell me something, are paranoid delusions something you've worked hard to cultivate? Or are they a result of a genetic disposition?

Predictions are hazardous.

Me I prefer to give odds at the time.

Bush wins by 5 or more points -- 30%

Bush wins by 1-4 points -- 30%

Kerry wins by 1-2 points -- 30%

Kerry wins by 3 or more points--10%

These odds could change, but I think it isn't likely.
