So what's the latest new out of SLC from Checkets and company? Was I understanding correctly that come around now they were to be announcing the team name, colors, who'll be GM, and a couple things like this?

I would pay close attention to the papers and tv this week if I lived in SLC.

The Skinny is that so much time has gone by without any news, I can't move my bowels anymore. I'm stressed!

I'm thinking this week, but then I thought that last week also.

But Salt Lake isn't the only team stalling, what about Chivas? They were supposed to make some announcements in August also.

Could Chivas and SLC possibly be waiting out the SJ situation? Maybe the thinking goes that if SJ moves to Houston with CA, then there will be a whole influx of Mexican coaches and hispanic players to the team, thus making available many former Quakes players and personnel.

Yes, but can you really see Club America fielding an MLS team without a single Mexican? Neither can I.
