Hello everyone!
My name is Max, I'm a guy from the Netherlands. I like this forum so I registered. My favourite team is Ajax, where Cruijff, Van Basten, Litmanen and Vasovic played.

I have only just become a member. I was in Newcastle on Saturday night and I met Patrick Klivert in Envy one of the big clubs there. What do you think of him as a Dutch Person?

A good striker. Unfortunately, he has probably peaked early in his career. It's well-known that he likes to go clubbing. There's always some gossip going on about him.

Hi Total Football. I went to the Netherlands once while I was younger when our team from the United States participated in the Gothia Cup in Sweden- great country, I remember everyone having a blast. Holland is probably one of my favorite teams besides of course USA, but I wanted to comment on Edgar Davids because he is one of my favorite soccer players. I understand he has the eye disease glaucoma- I recently had a terrible eye injury where I am currently blind in my right eye. I think it is great that he stills plays regarding his disease and his glasses are great, they give such a distinctive look. My prognosis is still not certain, but hopefully I can play soccer again and hopefully with not just one eye, but I will most definetely need glasses like his to play. He is pretty much the person I look up to since I am in a position he was once in. But anyways, Davids is one of the main reasons I like the team, look forward to watching them soon!

Edgar Davids is indeed a very good, hard working player. Although he sometimes seems quite arrogant on television, he still is very much appreciated over here, probably even more so with Ajax fans, because he was part of the victorious team of '95.
With regard to his glasses, at first I thought they looked strange on him, but as you say they do give him a very distinctive look.
