Hello all,

My first post on Big Soccer is a cry for help. After a week in the city as a freshman at Boston College, I'm looking for a spot to catch the Arsenal match with a few mates from campus. Every place I have called in the city is not carrying the Fulham match; a dissapointment, but not a killer. I hope to catch it though and any help would be appreciated. Thanks and GO GUNNERS!

A good place to catch Arsenal & other EPL matches is the Phoenix Landing in Central Square, Cambridge on Mass. Ave. They have the Setanta Pub Channel.

I caught the Middlesbrough/Arsenal match there and it was great.
Good crowd (and lots of tv's), and most folks were wearing Arsenal shirts.

You can always call ahead to check what matches they are showing or pick up a copy of the Irish Emigrant magazine at any of the irish bars in Boston/Cambridge & Allston/Brighton.

The Fulham match was broadcast on Fox Sports World today at 3pm.
It wasn't live but definitely worth catching. If you have Comcast Expanded Cable service, you get Fox Sports World. They are showing tons more Arsenal matches this season.

Another pub that shows EPL matches is the Kinvara on Harvard Ave. in Allston.

Cheers,
Annette

Roggie's actually shows a good amount of soccer. I caught many a Euro2004 game there. And I know they will flip over to FSW if nothing else is on. If you don't already know, you will soon learn that it's a Red Sox bar, however. Nothin' doin' during a Sox game. That's usually not a problem due to the time difference.
