Do you guys still want him at the club?

Personally I would rather see him go, he keeps going on about loyalty to the club, which I don't believe for a sec. He only stayed because Madrid wouldn't pay him what the other 'galacticos' earn.

Simple poll.

As much as it leaves a nasty taste in my mouth he's still one of the best players in the world. We are stronger with him so I'll swallow my pride. I won't be singing his name for a while though. He'll have to win me over with his commitment on the field.

He's a great asset to the team and for the Champions League he will add the experience we need in the center. Now we just need Sol back. I'm not opposed to taking away the Captaincy, but once he's back, he will be one of the standards on the field from the start of a game until the end.

It's quite clear that everyone else doesn't want us to have him, and that should be plenty of reason to keep him.

We want you to never start Pascal Cygan then too.

I dunno, maybe he stayed because Real didn't offer enough cash and maybe he stayed because he truly felt that Arsenal was the right choice. I don't give much thought to it. I understand why any player would want to go to Real based on history and recent success, domestically and in Europe. He gets to play with an amazing bunch of players. So yeah, I'm surprised he didn't go. Maybe it's from being used to the American sporting culture and free agency with players coming and going that I'm actually a bit surprised that someone showed some "loyalty" to their team and stayed. As long as he gets it done on the pitch Paddy can do and say whatever he wants.

Judge Vieira by his performances.

Vieira claims that he "loves" Arsenal and his "bounds to the club were too strong to break" are obviously ****************. But bottom line Vieira is a professional, and he wants to win Trophies no matter which team he is playing for.

Its irrelevant whether you like or love Vieira. You pay Vieira to do a job on the pitch not pontificate his love for Arse.

I was never a Roma fan to begin with.

I'm glad we have him this year, because our window of opportunity is pretty narrow for the CL, and clearly we have a stud in Cesc, but he's still a boy. So, I'm glad we have PV back, but I am like MT in that I have lost much in the way of respect for him. I would have stripped the captaincy from him and given it to Bergkamp (with Cole getting it on Dennis' non-travel days).

You were for a few minutes yesterday, when you declared that you were going to "pull a ZANI".

Glad to see you've come to your senses, though.

So little to add to this, except he is far and away the most influential player on the team. A great asset. (And, now I don't have to buy a new jersey!)

I'm glad he stayed, but I don't really trust him anymore. His commitment to the club seems to disappear whenever the transfer window opens at the end of the season, and I don't expect anything different next year unless Arsenal win the CL.
