haha, my fellow asian coworker went to the tryouts in San Francisco. He told me that they had to wait in a line for two hours that never moved and then a lady came out and said that they wouldn't be seeing any more people.

One good thing though is at least they've cast a much better Asian woman than last season.
I wonder why haven't the Japanese used their influence in the US file industry to make sure there's at least one Asian male in this number one hit show in America?

Surprised there isn't much interest here in The Apprentice. Too bad.

I've seen just one episode, and it was last season when it was down to the black guy and the white guy. Who won at the end?

Bill, the white guy. Not very competent at all.
Again, the most quailfied group of candidates are missing from this show. A real shame.

I thought it was pretty close. He didn't seem incompetent compared to some of the contestants. I really hated the contest where Troy got eliminated. They just gave two groups 24 hours to see who could rent out that suite for the most money.
Does anyone know if that Season 2 contestant Ivana is Korean?

Amy was the only competent person in seaons one.
Ivana does look kinda Korean. But girls from a certain part of South China also have a typical look like this. So honestly I'm not sure. But she's a lot better than that crazy Tammy from last season that's for sure.

Haha, all tammy did was piss and moan about her fellow teammates. Of course, nobody was more hated than Omorosa. With respect to Amy, I really didn't like her in that Atlantic City episode because she lied about who came up with that stupid idea to raffle off a car rental. It was her idea and she said that she didn't remember.

Amy is so hot I'm willing to overlook all her mistakes. This season's Amy is Elizabeth. That joke she cracked on Stacie was very funny. "Where is Stacie and what did you do to her?"
Ivana is only OK it looks like. But definitely not as embarrassing as Tammy though.

Amy wasn't bad looking but I thought that Kristi was hotter than her. Kristi was the first female to be sent home in Season One. I heard that she did a full frontal scene in an episode of Red Shoe Diaries on Showtime. I wish I could've seen it...

You're right I forgot about her. But the thing is. Amy looks more classy than Kristi. Maybe because Amy has more brains.

I totally agree with you on who has more brains but I thought we were trying to figure out who was the hottest :D

Amy's IQ gives her more personality and makes her the hottest. Kristi is also hot and I don't mind sleeping with both of them together. But in the morning I'd go home only with Amy. Amy and I will be in New Mexico already by the time Kristi figures out we've been gone. :)

Boy I never thought I'd use the word brillion with the name Donal Trump together in the same sentence except in a sarcastic way. But his firing of Bradford last week was a brillion move. Perfect for TV ratings, which, by the way, is the real game here. Picking the most competant person, despite all the hype, is just the side show.
I was sweating a little bit for Ivana. She's not perfect, but still much better than Tammy from last season. Want to see Asians get a little more air time on this trend setting number one hit show.

You know, I'm all for Asians getting airtime on network TV, but if Ivana is our representative, then the less seen of us, the better. How the hell did she get picked? She can't handle pressure, she couldn't organize a sock drawer, and she's one of those annoying people who talk a lot and say absolutely nothing, except maybe make excuses.
When she talks, she tries to throw in business jargons and talks about "issues" and "situations", and all it does is make her look dumb and shallow. And what's with starting sentences with "Look..." and "You know what" when talking in the boardroom? I hope she gets fired sooner than later.

I wish they would pick somebody better too. And there're plenty of competent Asians out there. I wonder why they didn't cast at least one Asian who'd be a credible contender for the ultimate prize. Where's all that mighty Japanese influence on NBC when we need it?
Never said Ivana is a representative. She's not great but at least OK if you compare her with that crazy Tammy from last season. With all the negative Asian roles they've put into American movies and TV shows over the years, an OK presence is better than a non-presence and hopefully the start of much better things to come. But that's gonna take some efforts on our, Asian audience's, part.

This is precisely the lack-of-airtime syndrome. Any Asian shown on TV becomes the representative of Asian people. Do we think of Troy as the representative of white people, or Bill, or Nick? No. Each one is just a representative of his own and only then could they give a more accurate picture of their entire group.
If we had 5 Asians in the problem we'd see a more accurate portrayal of our group and stop worrying about if one of them is the representative of our group. Some people good some bad some average, like in any group. And none of these 5 Asians has to stress over for having to represent all Asians. And none of us Asian audience has to hold our breath and hope for the best portrayal with the limited airtime. And if you say 5 may be too many given the percentage of Asian in the general population, then I ask why. It's a show about job interviews. Asian has a large percentage in the US college population. 5 are not too many at all. But for some reason the producers of this show have just completely forgotten us. And that’s not OK. We should let them know that.

They don't pick people based on competance. A lot of it is based on personality. They want to find people who can write their own dialogue. As one casting director for the first season said, "Omorosa was no mistake!"
I thought Ivana sucked. She looked sooo dumb in the boardroom when she went "omigod, omigod, omigod!" when bradford got fired.
