FSW showed a "highlight" reel/spotlight on Cory Gibbs during halftime of the USA:Panama match - anyone watch it?
In case you missed it, I'll recap:
"Gibbs is good. One to watch... blah, blah, blah"
[video series in background]
Gibbs two studs tackle takes out player - red-cardable foul
Gibbs handball
Gibbs gives away a PK
Gibbs wins header
Gibbs bitch-slaps player to ground for foul
Gibbs plays long ball to offsides Behnke
WTF?! That's the blooper reel, not the highlight reel! lol Only one clip where he doesn't screw up. Who's the Gibbs-hater at FSW? Harkes?!?!?!
===================================
I posted this in the Burn forum and later thought I should post it here as well... Sorry for cross-posting; I should've posted it here to start with.

Either no one saw the halftime show (bathroom break? lol) or no one watched the USMNT:Panama last night?

I saw this and was laughing my ass off. I was watching the game with my girlfriend's brother and I commented on the same thing. If this is a piece to make Giibs look good, they are not doing a good job. That was terrible. I mean it is great that they are trying to do features on some of the different players, but before deciding who to feature, make sure they have some legitimate highlights. If anything, just do not show the lowlights. Funny stuff last night for sure. I want to say that is not the first time they have done something like that. And, I will venture to guess it will not be the last.

Didn't see this (had to put Junior to bed during halftime) but just before the game they reshowed "Made in America" (about the Nats playing in England). I was surprised that in all the clips they could have chosen for Bocanegra's highlight reel (such as his man-marking Shearer in his first game, giving McBride a perfect ball over the top, etc.), that they they chose the two-footed horror challenge he got sent off for last year. Certainly wasn't the kind of highlight he wants to remember, I'm sure.

Yeah, I just do not know why FSW does this. I am sure they have enough footage of the players to get some good clips. For the USMNT, the producers need to talk with Wheelock and Harkes to get some clips from the MLS Wrap or something.

Its just so trange - they're obviously wanting to build stars so that more people would watch yet they show this kind of stuff... Very odd. Seems as though a producer or two doesn't pay attention.

I saw the Gibbs "Highlights" with my father as well. We both looked at each other and said at the same time, "those are his highlights???"
