I know I shouldn't be watching this trainwreck, but I'm glued after the first episode. 3 really cute girls, one of them extremely promiscuous. Makes for great TV.

I'm sad, I know. :D

I HAD to see the first episode...now I am cursed to watch the rest of the season!!

I didn't even watch the one filmed in Chicago, and I'm going to watch this one. I've sunk lower today, but recognize it. Half the battle right!?

This show it totally pathetic. Seven people that literally could be in any catalogue, fed loads of booze and given free rubbers, gee I wonder what's going to happen. I can only hope for a battle royale where the token gay man, in this case the fem gay man, comes out on top after it's unclear whether the chick with the fake tits actually had a foot touch the ground after she goes out over the top rope.

Surreal Life on the other hand.....two words...Ryan Starr.

--The best part of this season is the fact that the gay Puerto Rican guy was Hector on Ghostwriter. Best casting decision ever!

I'm sadder. I used to live in Philly when I was that age. I was drawn to this because I wanted to see the spots I used to score good ********** at...but I find myself more interested in seeing the spots I used to score good cheesesteaks at... :o

Pathetic!!

Well it's always good to see that MTV avoids stereotypes.

Every season we get:

- a gay guy, preferebly flamboyant and open.
- a white person from the south who claims they've never been around black people so they don't know how to act around them.
- an angry black man...if they can cry racism about anything then it's even better.
- someone with a drinking problem
- dumb jock

Real World Paris was the most boring since the people got along and no one was really that dysfunctional. The very first season was interesting but now it seems too tame, except for Kevin who physically threatened Julie and then blamed racist society for his actions....even though no one in the house ever brought up race except kevin.

But last year, San Diego, that was good TV. What a train wreck. Last years cast makes this years cast seem like the brady bunch. You had a girl who was afraid of boats for Christ's sake. You had several altercations with the police. massive alcoholism. Fights. A girl who used the "N" word around her black roomate and then try to justify it by saying a black guy raped her (btw, her story sounded pretty fishy to me). You also had a guy who thought he was going to be a celbrity by being on the show and the celebrity would lead to him meeting Britney Spears. This was the biggest group of idiots ever assembled. I loved every second of it.

This year at least they don't have the angry black guy, instead they went with a "straight acting" gay guy. He's black but he seems to want to talk about being gay more. The two curly haired guys seem ok, but they say some stupid things. The girls with the fake tits is a complete idiot. The flamboyant gay guy seems ok so far, even though he is pretty much the stereotypical gay guy. The other girls seem cool so far. Well ok maybe not that cool, the one girl gets in the car with the black guy and comments that he is "hip hop" yet he doesn't look hip hop at all, he's just black. And the black girl who says "it's so hard to date a white guy" and that "I prefer white guys to black guys". MTV loves racial tension. I will give credit to MTV for the gay guy who isn't the stereotype, he is one of the few "real" people in the history of the series.

Don't worry, there will be an incident or two this season. Just watch.

it's reality tv. does it really need serious critique?

anyway. only one girl on this show seems really cute... the 'slut' one. all the boys are male butterfaces. philly seems nice. the shots of the town are the reason i stayed tuned in. that, and the slutty girl's breasts. it's strange. the stereotypically slutty one is the only one who appears to be particularly outspoken in this show. girls have usually taken the spotlight in reality tv. they're guaranteed drama material, i guess. but the other two girls seem soft-spoken and fairly withdrawn.
