Will be touring the US for a couple of months, and if you've got any musical taste at all, you'll try and catch them...

They pretty much laid the foundations for BritPop, and have just put out a new album "Weightlifting" which is superior. "All The Dark Horses" is standout, and I suggest surfing your way to their website...

Possibly the best jangle-pop band of all time... Literate...

Closest they come to me is Chicago, and I am really thinking of going to it.

I think this Weightlifting is one of the best albums to come out this year, just fantastic stuff.

I like that record a lot. I have the version with the DVD, but haven't watched it yet. I was amazed at how good they were live when I saw them a few years ago when they were recording in NYC, especially considering that they had been only playing live sporadically at that point.

I'm told that TCS tix for their LA date are being scalped for crazy dough, which totally amazes me.

The DVD is quite good. I really like the version of Leave Me Alone on it.

I like it too, but some tracks are almost too sugary for me. "Welcome Back" and "Freetime" are my favorite tunes on the CD.

Now that I've listened to the thing some more, you can bag my previous comment. I agree with hangthadj -- This is album of the year material and a serious contender for the best comeback for a band in the last 15 years.

I just get blown away by the craftmanship everytime I sit down with one of their albums... I've got A Happy Pocket in the car... It never seems to get old, and I can't wait to see them live...

Good man. :D

Honestly every time through the CD a new song becomes my favorite. I think today, it's Got Carried Away.

One more reason SpinArt is one of my fave labels.

Sometimes it just takes awhile for a CD like this to grown on me. That's because in general, I tend to like stuff that's less polished. But you can't deny the song-crafting abilities that the TCS's possess. Simply put, they write superb pop songs.

'Cake' is one of my favorite albums ever. How does the new album compare?
