What and where is this building?
It is located in Dogok-dong in a rich Gangnam district. Dogok-dong is a place where a number of super-high rise residential buildings are located. There aren't many office buildings around this place.
This tower is called Tower Palace Three. It's currenlty the tallest residential tower in the world at a height of 264 meters.

Soju,
I absolutely hated you for starting this thread but I'm going back home for three weeks next Wednesday.
This thread just makes it sweeter.
Thank you and god bless.
Oh by the way I might start a thread regarding great Korean foods I'll consume back home. Now that will make my Korean colleagues miss home even more. :D

The buildings keep getting bigger and bigger and grander.
Geez... I've been away for too long. It seems like just yesterday when the only tall building in Seoul was the 68 Building.
And now we got these crazy animals going up.
Makes me feel like a real Red Neck (i.e. Chon Nom).

Your sister probably visited Korea during the "yellow dust" season. Yellow dust storm that blows over Korea come from China's Gobi Desert. Recently, the yellow dust has become a huge issue in Korea after the frequency of it happening has been greatly incresed over the past 2 years. And to further add to the miseries, it's worsening year by year as China enjoys a massive construction boom with its fast economy growth. However, there's been a lot of talks between China and its neighbouring countries to solve this matter. So, this is a good start.

Generally, the quality of the air in major cities of Korea is pretty good compared to other major developed cities around the world. Only Seoul, with its massive population of 10 million, seems to be of a lower quality than other Korean cities. But Seoul has been putting massive money on the long-term development of the environment for about a decade ago and the enviornment surely has greatly improved over the past years.
Here's more information of Seoul's Urban Environmental Plan.
