Me and some of my buddies got bored today so we decided to play some football. Last time me and a buddy of mine played was back when we played for our high school. We gathered up a couple of others and decided to go for it.
When we got to the pitch, a group of Mexicans and some Hondurans were playing. So we asked if we could join them and they gladly accepted. It was the "chinos"(universal term for all Asians for hispanics :D) vs. the latinos. There were more Mexicans so they could sub in/out throughout the entire match.
The first thing i noticed was how similar they were in their kick and rush style of Korean ahjushi's(middle aged Korean dudes) and were also playing power football. They were also using their low center gravity(most were very diminutive) to great effect to hustle for ball possession.
Anyway, we beat them 10-6 because some of them were middle aged and were losing energy under the intense heat towards the end of the game. I also thought it was amusing that whenever I was hot-dogging with the ball and doing tricks, they were cheering and saying, "solo! solo! something-rapido!"
Afterwards, they hooked us up with some cervezas(one vato was drinking beer while playing, I thought that was freakin' hilarious) and some real authentic Mexican grub from their wives who were grilling and cooking nearby in the park. We're going to play them every sunday. Good stuff.
