The first FO person publicly announced has left the team. I recently recieved an e-mail from Dave Allred stating that he has gone back to work for Richter7, the firm he had worked for before joining SLC MLS.

Hope the life boats work.
Maybe he just hates the name Real SLC. MAybe some spaniard is going to take his place. Or more likely, maybe the old job offered a fat wad of cash, in which case, ignore my first comment.

Your team was bought by Club America and is moving to Huston. Real-ly.

Dave didn't ofer any explanation as to why he left SLC MLS. I didn't really push the issue either, but get the impression he was just givin a better offer by his old job. :(

Well, this type of thing does happen. People jump ship only to find that they're in a much different situation than the one presented to them by the hiring company. It could be as simple as that. I'd think that it wouldn't be as simple as the financial package offered to hurry and come back. If that were the case, you'd think that would've lured him into staying back when he first offered his resignation.

In my Fantasy World (where the sky is Mauve, in case you were wondering), Chris Agnello becomes Real Highlander Rockchucks' General Manager, Stacy McNichol becomes Business Manager, Adolfo Ovalle takes over as VP of Community Relations and Rich Breza is GM of the Blitzz Highlanders PDL team (soon to smack around the BYU PDL team at a USL game near you.) Shawn Cassella for VP of Corporate Sales.
Like the old joke goes, "A town too small to support one lawyer can definitely support two of them"; so I think that one MLS team & 2 PDL teams would be just right for Utah.

If Dave Allred wants to work for an organization that wins soccer trophies, BYU's women's team is a much better prospect than a Utah MLS team.
Come to think of it BYU's men's PDL team will win a trophy before Utah's MLS team does.

Good pic up about the AD spot. Though I doubt it has anything to it. BYU says they will take a 3 month time table to pick the AD.

I guess you're going to be like the two old guys from the movie "Major League" who just sit in the stands and heckle them all the time. As I Galaxy fan I hope your new team does great. I've always wanted to go to SLC and now I have one more reason. To join you in the heckling!!

I'm not that bad. But I suspect that we will have to break off an "All We Are Saying Is Give Us A Goal" and an "Always Look On The Bright Side Of Life" more than we would like to in 2005.

Didn't I hear him on radio taking about the Snow Bears minor league Basketball team that will pay in SLC next season? Makes sense.
