Souness has finally off-loaded Dwight Yorke, which comes as no surprise as their relationship has never been good. Yorke has joined Birmingham City for an "undisclosed fee."
To replace him, Rovers have signed Jay Bothroyd from Perugia. He's an English striker who had a great start to the 03/04 season with his Italian club, scoring goals in the Intertoto cup and then a few in the League. He faded a bit after that, but he's young (22) and, I think, fast. Could be a good signing.
