What can Marseille do to get that potency in front of goal. It's not thier conceding goals/defence that worry me, it's their inability to score them, it drives me crazy. Who can they realistically get in January to help out on this? Who is on the transfer agenda so far?

I know and have faith OM will score more goals later as they are still gelling as a team.. but it still doesn't seem like enough.

Fabien Barthez : : "hopefully, the team fought til the end. What we got to remember about this match is that we were able to pressure st etienne's team without a stop. Each match, opposite teams run at 200% of their potential against l'OM, and we cannot make it that way every game.
Considering the goal they scored, i completly missed it. It is part of a goalkeeper's job, making good or bad performances. This goal has completly changed the deal and i am 300% responsible for that . I thank the other guyzZ for having faught til the end and make it a draw. Before the game we wanted a win to begin a 3 victories row but one point is better than nothing".

However, the France team goalkeeper was awarded for the best L1 player of the september month trophy

obviously we need a striker , a left wing offensive mildfielder (Cheyrou is just a ghost) , and maybe a better right wing defender (ferreira isn't as good as last year..)
But we need some experienced player who don't fear the pressure of the media and of a 60 000 people crowd .

Not a bad result Montreal, despite the timing of their goal.
A disaster at 12:50 am... :(

I should have gone to bed at the half.

There should have been only 3-4 minutes tops of extra time. If it would have been l'OM doing the time wasting, Les Verts would never have gotten 6 long minutes of time added on. The ref would have been scared of not getting out alive from the Velodrome.
Now you know what it feels like to concede in the last-minute.....
I know you mean the PSG game, but that wasn't as bad as Les Verts late game performances

ASSE - Strasbourg: concede goal in the 84' - draw
Ajaccio - ASSE: concede goal in the 90' - draw
ASSE - Lyon: concede goals in the 87 & 90' - loss
OM - ASSE: concede goal in the 94' - draw

That's 9 pts out the window in only 10 games.

As for l'OM, well, there was talk of Koller coming in, but that was killed by salary fears. What's better have a CL qualifier with a quality striker or finish out of the CL places by saving the salary.

L'OM should have taken the gamble.

the goal of the staff is to qualify for an eurpean cupthis year without spending all the ££ from drogba's sell.
and then with the LDC next year and the ££of drogba, to buy three or four great players next year...
They have taken another gamble in fact , th one with the lower cost ( except if we don't qualify for champion's league next year...)

Lizarazu:"Make a good result at Bolaert"
Despite their deisapointing rank in L1 (13th) and their 7-games-without-a-win row, RC Lens remain a dangerous opponent. that's why, before going to the "nord"(plus precisement le pas de calais ndlt), B Lizarazu said they took care af this match wich could influence the OM's way into this championship.
Saturday Marseille go to Lens for a very important game:
B.L:"considering potential, lens is one of the best teams of this championship. It's a very good team. L'om begins at lens a raw of games against teams presumed stronger than marseille with for exemple Monaco who wwill come to the velodrome 5 days after the Lens game.So we have to get some points there to folow our objectives (even more concidering that our last match was a draw against ASSE at home). So we have to make a good result at Bolaert!"

Lens seem to gamble on youth and experience. what can you say about this team?
BL:"They are ambitious this season. For a few match they have encounter some problems but it's normal , they still are searshing for automatisms.
They have the potential to make a very good season."

Lens , Monaco, Paris ...The olders are going to speak to the younger players, to manage them?
BL:"In these kind'a big games motivation comes by itself, because they are better prepared considering concentration. On the other hand, for smaller games, you have to dig deeper to seek the motivation. There's so much pressure around the big games that it makes it easier to prepare and to be focused."

Zolta, thanks for the translation.

I made the mistake of watching the St Ettiennne game again earlier this week. Clearly they need to play better on the road at Lens to get the three points. Defense obviously isn't the problem, but the offense is struggling. The few times I have seen pendretti this season he seems to have been on, perhaps he can give em a jump start.

Regardless once again, we get the game on FSW in North America, so theres another 2 hours of my Sunday occupied.

unfortunatly, Pedretti is still injuried ( knee injury) and wont be able to play this game.
but the problem is between the midfielders and the attack ( did i mean strikers?!?, who knows...)
We need som realy good OFF.MID.., especialy on the left wing. And obviously a big N°9, a fox in the box, some kinda drogba-like-striker......wont be easy to find...

I know its been discussed here, but I think Koller would do very well, he's not as dynamic as a Drogba, but damn I would have loved to see us get him in OM blue.

Lens 0 - 0 OM :(

We lost another chance to into fourth spot.

As per Jérôme Leroy (Lens), OM was better than Lens and had more occasions.

Hope to be in better shape next week against Monaco.

yep
this draw is not a bad result though.
we are in a 5 games without loosing raw.
hope this will continue against monaco who realy threaten me lol
i dont know how this could be possible , but if we manage to win our three next games, i would really be optimistic.
the problem is that without attak it's impossible for us to win a game!
for the moment we are a good defence, that's all but that's better than nothing.
(chevanton + kallon + adebayor will be a good test for our defence)
