Lizarazu back to Munich
surprise at amrseille, the defender lizarazu who was anounced on departure signed....with the bayern munich. Only a few months after having left the german club, the left defender goes back to his former club

we don't care i would say, since he didn't prove anything here ( even olembe played better than him)
he wanted a pre-retirement club, l'om isn't a holiday club^^.

I remember Lyon and Marseille were fighting to get this guy and Marseille gets him and he goes out and underperforms for the season so far. Go over to the Bayren Munich forum on Big Soccer and you'll see they are happy to have him back there. Wait until they see him play and they'll see for themselves that he has nothing left.

It’s a little bit upset to lose at home to D2 team. But it’s football. These things usually happen…

Marseille sign Nigeria's defender Taiwo

http://www.olympiquedemarseille.com/Multimedia/Images/actu/taiwo.jpg

MARSEILLE, France, Jan 11 (Reuters) - Nigeria's under-21 international defender Taye Taiwo has signed a three-year contract with Olympique Marseille for an undisclosed fee.

In a statement on the French Ligue 1 club's website Marseille manager Pape Diouf said the move was "an investment for the future".

Left back Taiwo could be used to replace former French international Bixente Lizarazu, who returned to Bayern Munich after an unsuccessful first half of the season at Marseille.

But Lizarazu's likeliest replacement should be Japan's Koji Nakata, who will train with Marseille on Thursday while his agent negotiates with the club.

Marseille coach Philippe Troussier knows the Japanese midfielder well from his days as Japan manager before the 2002 World Cup. He had used the Kashima Antlers player at left back at the time.

nice win .. well, i haven't seen the game myself but i heard many people complain about the ref. and his assistants in this game. it seems between 50 and 75% of the offsides against Lille just.. came out of the ref's imagination. also on the 1st goal there's a hand from marlet. beye who should have been sent off the pitch for a foul as the last remaining defender. and the game developed by marseille was apparently awful.
well well, the good old marseille is back folks, but it seems the name "troussier" is enough to make people believe it's the greatest team in the universe, even the refs (well yeah these kind of "recurrent mistakes" _never_ happen in the advantage of a team like ajaccio, strasbourg or istres.)

ps: this is not an attemp to flame, but let's just face the truth for 1 second

on the penalty given to lille, there was no foul.
Lille didn't have any occasion.
We didn't steal this game man.

Seriously, the lack of any consistency in Ligue 1 is reall annoying. Lyon have the title sewn up now, unless they implode.

I disagree, the foul comitted by Meite was clumsy...

Even if he did fall over, he must pretty stupid to do this with the Lille forward going through on goal.
