Troussier without pressure forhis first time at the Velodrome.
Philippe Troussier says he doesn't feel any pressure as he will seat for the first time on the velodrome stadium bench on saturday: " seen from outside the staff, that must be an important "rendez-vous", but I am on the pitch, down to the ground, listening to the engine's sounds. I hope the motor will work properly and i try to forget what's around. Iknow there's gonna be a lot of people, that the crowd will support us, my mission is to manage the team to bring the three points".

Beye: " Troussier is very different from Perrin"
Troussier is known as a straight coach "he is very concerned of any details" confirmed habib beye.
Could his method and his personnality been compared with Alain Perrin's ones either? "NOt, At all",answears the senegal player. "If i had to numerate all the differences, i could write a book! With Troussier, it's much better. For me anyway. I don't talk about the fact of playing or beeing sub, but about mens personalities."

There are rumors that Pedretti and Lizarazu will be leaving next month because Troussier doesnt have any plans for them in his system.

Robert Louis-Dreyfus: "Philippe Troussier is a man of challenge, it is the first trainer to have said to me that the base of the players was good and that it did not need reinforcement. It is very rare."

Does that mean l'OM won't bring new palyers in January?

70' Lyon 1 - 1 OM

Not a bad result. I'd take a draw against Lyon any day, especially with the inconsistent play we've displayed so far this year.

first half of season has gone...

19 Matches
8 Wins
5 Draws
6 Loses

10 points behind the leader (Lyon).

Now we're 5th of table. May drop down the 6th or 7th if Bordeaux or Sochaux won tomorrow. :(

Busy January for Marseille

Marseille could be off-loading several members of their squad in January's transfer window.

The South Coast club will probably be making lots of changes to their personnel with several fringe players heading for the exit door.

Defender Johnny Ecker has had contact with Nice and his former Lille team-mate Sylvain N'Diaye is interesting Nantes after failing to earn a place under new boss Philippe Troussier.

Bastia are leading the chase for former Leeds United loanee Lamine Sakho and Laurent Batlles  is in talks with Toulouse, the club where he started his career.

A three-and-a-half year contract offer is on the table for Batlles and could be offered the chance to stay at the club until the end of his career.

Centre back Philippe Christanval is thought to be interesting Southampton.

On the incoming front, l'OM are in the market for a target man.

Lens' Dagui Bakari, Bayer Leverkusen ace Dimitar Berbatov, Borussia Dortmund's Jan Koller, Mickael Pagis of Strasbourg and Pierre van Hooijdonk, currently with Fenerbahce, have all been linked.

South African agent Rob Moore has reportedly offered Troussier two players he worked with at South Africa - Porto star Benny McCarthy and Arminia Bielefeld's Delron Buckley.

It would be so stupid if they sold Batlles.

Is my translation correct that Troussier keeps stating he does NOT want to bring anyone in January.

Is anyone else NOT pleased with this?

the staff say that there won't be any new player unless some move before.
like fiorese or battles who are anounced respectively in england and in toulouse...
the fans would have liked the staff to buy at least one striker and one offencive mildfielder.....little bit desapointing.
