Oregon St. loses to LSU 22-21 in OT. OSU missing 3 extra points in the game, including one in OT to keep the game going. They nearly had LSU beat, 15-7 with a minute to go, and the Tigers get the tying touchdown and 2-point conversion.

Indeed, Oregon State almost had it. That miss extra pt. earlier in the 2nd half really hurt their chances. The game wouldn't have gone to overtime and the Beavers could have won it, 16-15.

The Huskies are terrible...
Fresno State defeated Washington in Seattle, 35-16, behind Richard Marshall and James Sanders returned INT's for touchdowns and Brian Morris' fumble that also led to a TD.
N. Arizona 3-21 Arizona

And it finished even better. Fight on.
Oh, and rest of the PAC-10: please win some non-conference games. You're killing our strength of schedule. Yes, I'm talking to you, Mr not-going-to-be-ranked-come-monday Duck Nation.

It was a beautiful day in Berkeley today, but I'm nervous about going into Hattiesburg on Thursday night.

Thursday's Cal @ Southern Miss game has been postponed due to Hurricane Ivan. Southern Miss wants to move it to Saturday, but Cal says it's too late to reschedule transportation for this weekend and wants to play it on the last weekend of the season.

Sucks to be Cal--something like this can disrupt the rest of the season. I'm still pissed about the hurricane in 1998 that postponed our trip to Miami.
**********ing Edgerrin James we would've been in the **********ing BCS championship **********ing game and we would've won. And what happened? Lost in the Rose Bowl to Wisconsin. Damn Ron Dayne. He's not even good in the NFL!
(rant over).

I don't know that it's that bad for Cal. A long trip on a short week to a hostile environment against a team coming off its biggest win ever would not have been ideal. Yes, Cal beat Southern Miss 34-2 last year, and should beat them again, but they're not weeping about this postponement. Having two straight bye weeks before opening Pac-10 play with two road games isn't the greatest, but that's the way it goes.

And, even though they should be relegated to the Mountain West, Oregon is away at #2 Oklahoma today.
Oklahoma 10-0 Oregon shortly before halftime
