1. If you answered "Why yes, I have seen the Blue Man Group live", did you enjoy it?
2. If you answered "Oh, hells yeah!" to #1, was it worth the price of the ticket?
That is all. Thank you for your time.

You're talking about the theatre show, and not the touring rock concert thing, right?
I've seen the original NYC show a few times, and it's always fun. It's a great show to take friends from out of town to, because it's just weird enough that they can go back to Iowa or wherever and tell their friends about the "edgy show they saw downtown". It's cool for older, hipper kids, too.
As long as it's been running in NYC, I don't think I've ever heard anyone say it sucked.

2. Why, yes, it's worth it.
3. You're welcome.
Seriously, if you've never seen them live.... it's great. Lots of fun. It's unlike anything you've ever seen before.
I was desperate to see them when I saw an article about them in around 1990 in an Esquire magazine... or maybe it was Details. Anyway, it looked great... but I would have had to head to NY... then, I believe to Boston.
They came to Chicago in 1997. I had waited years for them! I wasn't going to miss that show! I got tickets to see them in the first week or so.
They haven't left yet. They completely took over the Briar Street Theater... which was actually a nice place with some good productions... but it's pretty much the Blue Man Group theater now. They completely overhauled the place.
In any case... go!!!!!

I haven't seen it, but my sister went, and she isn't impressed by anything. She loved it and said whenever I wanted to go, she'd go with me.

I've seen it twice. It's a fun little show, and the guys are talented, but it's not the end-all be-all of human experiences. It's fabulous for tourists, or people for whom English is not their first language. (Kinda like Stomp in that way.)

we got comped tix for them when we were in Vegas, but gave them away. Perhaps we should have gone after all...I just thought that it look incredibly cheesy.

Yes and yes, but if you're skittish about the cost, they've got so many shows that I would imagine discounted day-of-show tickets are available.
A friend of mine is in the three-piece backing band, one of three drummers that rotate. I would quite possibly kill someone for that gig.
And buy both records.
Later,
COZ (needs to see it again since they've revamped the show)

I've seen it twice, and it is a good time. In Boston we have BosTix that will sell tickets 50% off, it is definitely worth it (I'm sure there are similar places in NYC/Chicago/Vegas.) Very unique skits, and the music is fantastic.
Haven't been since they updated the show, but a friend said it isn't radically different from the last incarnation.

i saw them in vegas a couple years ago. it was a really good show, although the ticket was pretty costly. the only thing i regretted was that i wasn't high or on mushrooms....... that would've made the show alot better. i still had a great time though.... best show i've seen in Vegas (i've only seen them and a couple topless shows so take that with agrain of salt)

Thanks all.
I've heard it's great, and I have yet to read/hear a single bad word about the show, and that's still the case. It's a bit pricy at $69.99, but I'm thinking about taking my girlfriend on her birthday so I'm willing to break the bank a little.
