Forlan scores in Spanish debut and crappy Everton gains their first point at Old Trafford in 8 years.
Coincidence or conspiracy?
Discuss.

Probably just a coincidence. But how many games did it take for Forlan to score his first for United? :-) But what's passed has passed and best of luck to Forlan en Espaņa.
So Nicky Butt, are you going to be a scoring sensation at Newcastle? Now that would be a conspiracy :-)

Forlan'll probably end up scoring about twenty goals in Spain now :p

If he goes on to be one of their leagues top scorers everyone has to question the standards of play in La Liga :p

Saw the goal on Sky Sports News.
The goal was a bit lucky as he mis-hit it down and it bounced twice before going in. Apparently he also wasted some easier chances in the first half...
I wish him well though, but I don't think my fantasy team needs adjusting all of a sudden. ;)

He scored? You must be thinking of Diego ForlaRn...oh, hang on!
Wasted many chances? Yes, it seems we've got the same Diego Forlan then ;)
All the best to him, sorry he couldn't make it at United, but Forlan for Rooney? Any day.

I always thought he was more suited for La Liga then the EPL. Watching him play for Independiente I could picture him at a smaller Spanish side, like Real Zaragoza. Best of luck to him.

He will score more in La Liga then the EPL due to the pace of the game not being focused on ramming the ball into the box on every chance that slightly presents its self. The EPL is more of a box to box run and gun style where as Spain is more possession which is more of what he is built to play growing up in South America.
He's not a bad player and God knows he is able to every now and then score some amazing goals but he had a host of things go wrong for him at United from a strikers view point at least, it took forever for him to score, he never really settled, the teams style of play clashed with his and there was no way he was going to make them play different. All of this contributes to bad form, now that he bagged a goal off the bat in La Liga that may have been just what he needed to get the monkey off his back so to speak, that and knowing that he doesn't have to battle Rudd to be the top option on the team sheet. Floran seems to be a confidence player if he is getting goals then he is on a high and plays well but if he's not playing every week or missing a lot of chances then he's playing well......... let's just say not at his best.
