Im new to here, and i dont even know if im gonna post again. If the truth be known im quite drunk. Christening, early today at ST Pauls, West Derby Village, Liverpool, L12.
Been looking through this board and quite a few of you are exiled Scousers. Thought id try to bring a smile to yer faces 'bar back home.
Two of me mates are moving away to Oz in two weeks so we've been trying to have some 'weird' nights to send them off. After the Christening we watched the match and although it was **********e a good time was had by all. Yadda yadda yadda we're all bladdered by bout 5 or 6. Couple of weeks ago we made a 'Viva Benitez' banner: so, in all our wisdom, we decided, tonight, to break into Melwood and erect our painted bedsheet. Tonight.
And lo and behold thats where ive just been. Four of us just walked through the woods, in the pitch black, from West Derby Village all the way to Melwood, this at half 1 in the morning, and to top it off we all went in Dressing Gowns. And sombreros. (aquired from a Barca trip).
Over the wall and the barbed wire fence and finallly we're there. Mellwood. The training ground. Where Shankly, Paisley, Fagan, Dalglish and Houllier plied their trade. Where Barnes, Beardsley and Aldridge first learned to link up. Where Davey Fairclough learned to run onto a thru-ball. Where legends were made. Even the bizzie helicopter flying overhead didnt stop us. For over an hour we ran our dunken, stoned, arses off. Ive smoked a spliff on Melwood!
Might be boring to some of you, i dont know, but ive just re-enacted some of my favourite goals from my era and also from some of the old videos ive watched. Its hard in the dark trying to score Terry Mc's goal (the seventh) against Spurs, but it was a beauty scoring Ronnie Rosenthals 89th minute winner against the blue **********e.
Some of you may be away from from your home City but i hope this brings a smile to your faces, i hope you remember just what it is that makes this place special. I know im bladdered but seriously, i could now die a happy man.
This club means alot to alot of people. Benitez needs time and i can guarantee you he will know that we will give it to him as there is a massive VIVA BENITEZ banner waiting for him now tied to one of the goals in Melwood. Liverpool. L12.
