I have a feeling this is going to be a very good match. I don't know why, but I just have a gut feeling about it. My prediction is a 2-2 draw.

Well, with all respect to HSV fans, i think this, being a home game should be a comfortable win for us. My prediction would be 3 or 4 - 1 or 2. I guess thats not really a prediction but, my point is, i think VfB will win.

I don't keep up with the Bundesliga as much as the EPL, but I am disappointed that Stuttgart doesn't have it's own forum. BTW nice to see you around Catfish. :)

Since VfBStuttgartFan is around, I'll ask this question. How do you think they'll do this year? can they repeat the success they had last season. They're currently in second but at the moment losing to top Kaiserlautern.

Wow Kuranyi continues to impress me. I really hope that Stuttgart is able to hold on to him. Does anyone think that eventually one of the bigger clubs will come in and swoop him away?

I've seen you around on a lot of other threads but just never have got around to responding to you. You have any other favorites other than Arsenal? Or do you just like watching the other leagues in general?

I saw last week. It was a repeat. And yes, I love following leagues around the globe. I only know for sure that I LOVE Arsenal.....support Chicago Fire, FC Barcelona.....still not sure about Dutch league (initially ran to Ajax because I love the name/crest and the Jewish implication...see the Internet for an explanation), Celtic maybe for SPL.....I want a German, Italian, Mexican, Argentinian, and Brasilian clubs to support, as well.

Well, i think that although you could say last year was successful...especially compared to 3 years ago when they ended up 15th, i was still dissapointed that after having spent the last 31 games in the top three, they slid out of the CL places on the last day. My hope is that they can achieve a champions league, i.e. top three position, this season, though seeing as there are so many teams around this year capable of challenging, i would be satisfied with a uefa cup place. When taking into consideration that, out of Bremen, Bayern, Bayer, BVB and Schalke, all in with a chance if being champion, we are the poorest, financially, then one realises that a top 5 would already be a success, though i do believe that we are capable of playing champions league football next season.

Yeah I sorta got the impression they weren't one of the richest teams in the Bundesliga. I also wasn't sure if they had had much success in recent years since they don't have their own thread here. Do you think they will be able to hold onto Kuranyi?

Kuranyi is on good form now, though i think he is overrated and that Cacau, Imre Szabics and Marco Streller (when he returns from injury), are all capable of challenging his starting place, so i don t consider him the key player of the club. He renewed his contract last year, so if he goes, i hope he goes soon, then atleast we can bring in some good money.

But, yes, its inevitable, that someone will buy him eventually.

Hmmm...I haven't gotten a chance to see a lot of Stuttgart's games. Guess I just remember him seeming to be the main scorer in all the games I've had a chance to see.

Didn't Bayern Munich snatch last year's coach also?

Yeah, Felix Magath, they got him , in fact, it was discovered that he had signed with them halfway through the season, which means that all VfB fans, including me HATE him now for his unfaithfulness. He s not having a great time with Bayern though, so far. 4 points after three game isn t a great tally, for Bayern.

Kuranyi is the top scorer for the past two years, but this is more because he plays double the games and the starter alongside him always seems to rotate between the three players that i mentioned above. Hopefully, Sammer will change this, its looking good after the first 3 games, but we ll have to see.

Yeah it would be great if they could keep the success going. Maybe they could join the ranks of the bigger teams in the Bundesliga.

I think we ve already done that, the question is how long we can remain there.

I guess I meant I just get the feeling of Stuttgart not considered one of the major teams. It seems I have a harder time finding info on Stuttgart compared to some of the other Bundesliga teams. I also rarely see any Stuttgart kits/jerseys.

Perhaps thats true, we re not the most marketable of teams, but in terms of performance in the last two years, i think we would definetely be considered one of the top teams. You don t see many Bremen shirts either and they are the champions.
