Season starts tomorrow and no prediction threads! At the risk of looking like a fool when somebody pulls this thread back up at the end of the season,
here's my prediction on the outcome of this season's championship:
Scudetto - Inter. The choke factor has to play against them, but I just don't see a more talent-laden team out there at the moment.
Other CL berths - Juve, Milan, Roma. Seems quite a familiar list.
UEFA Cup berths - just to be different from last year, I'll choose Atalanta and oh, what the heck, Brescia. Maybe Baggio will stay healthy and have one more great year. Right.
Goin' down - Como, Reggina, Empoli, and Modena. Really. I think the four teams that came up will be going straight back down. Of the four, Modena might have the best chance to stay up. Reggina has some recent experience in Serie A to help out, but I'm not counting on it.
Coppa - Parma. They always do well. Now, with fellow cup-specialists Fiorentina out of the picture, they shold be a shoo-in :) Actually, Lazio might have to turn to the Cup as some hardware they have a chance to win.
Any arguments?
