Season starts tomorrow and no prediction threads! At the risk of looking like a fool when somebody pulls this thread back up at the end of the season,
here's my prediction on the outcome of this season's championship:

Scudetto - Inter. The choke factor has to play against them, but I just don't see a more talent-laden team out there at the moment.

Other CL berths - Juve, Milan, Roma. Seems quite a familiar list.

UEFA Cup berths - just to be different from last year, I'll choose Atalanta and oh, what the heck, Brescia. Maybe Baggio will stay healthy and have one more great year. Right.

Goin' down - Como, Reggina, Empoli, and Modena. Really. I think the four teams that came up will be going straight back down. Of the four, Modena might have the best chance to stay up. Reggina has some recent experience in Serie A to help out, but I'm not counting on it.

Coppa - Parma. They always do well. Now, with fellow cup-specialists Fiorentina out of the picture, they shold be a shoo-in :) Actually, Lazio might have to turn to the Cup as some hardware they have a chance to win.

Any arguments?

Well, I am very happy you pcked Inter for the Scudetto, but I would change a few things. Chievo is going down, losing aruably their three best players. Also Lazio should be able to get a UEFA place over Brescia!

You're probably right there (Lazio vs Brescia), but I was bored with just picking the same results as this year. Who would you see staying up instead of Chievo?

1.Inter(the best)
2.Milan
3. Juventus
4.Roma
5.Lazio
6.Atlanta
7. Parma
8.Bologna
9.Perugia
10.Udinese
11.Torino
12.Brescia
13.Empoli
14.Reggina
15.Piacenza(-the 24 goals from Hubner last year and this is where they are. Hubner, in my opinion, will score at the most about 8 goals)
16. Modena
17.Chievo Verona
18. Como

Inter and Milan have decisive roster advantage on anyone else, but Juventus's usual tenacity and carelessness for quality football puts the team in position to exploit eventual struggles of the milanese clubs (Inter has a congenital breathing issue and Milan has yet to be assembled)

the bianconeri are aiming at the CL though (BAD idea...)

Roma doesn't have a reasonable chance IMO

Lazio is still my "surprise" pick for a CL berth

as usual,i don't know much about smaller clubs but i've seen Torino play and believe me,they STINK!

UEFA: the last of the 5 sister,Bologna,Udinese
