You can know everything about Macs on this post: PCs are better...as doorstops (or if you like viruses, worms and spyware).
There ya go.

I know its an endless debate but Ive been using both for about 8-10 years. And I have to say I have more memory and software issues with a MAC. I rarely have that with a PC specially newer ones. Maybe in 1995 I had problems with PC but not now.
I do like MACs for the reason that I feel more confortable using them for my work(graphic design). I seriously dont think there is a difference between the two in terms of performance with high end graphics, in fact my PC performs better/faster, but I just like the way things look on a MAC screen. It has gotten better with OS X however but now I have to wait till software is able to function in it.

If no one uses Macs, why should people bother making worms, virsuses and such? :)

At my office, we've pretty much come to the conclusion that worms and viruses are created in-house at Microsoft, so people have to come to their website to download patches and security fixes, resulting in an inflated hit count.
Seriously, after my experience at Windows-equipped offices and hearing my friends' horror stories, I can't imagine ever switching to a PC.

we're on the verge of swiching to Fedora across the board at work (OUr server farm is already all linux and a few machines here and there are non-MS). I'm excited. We've been waiting until some DV capture/editting SW came out that would suit our needs, and Kino (http://kino.schirmacher.de/) seems pretty adept.

I'd rather use any of the *nix platforms (including osX) over Microsoft's crap anyday.

PCs aren't as bad as people say they are. People make virsuses and what not because they are the most widely used computers. As long as you don't open spam, unknown emails, or download from P2P programs, go to Warez sites, etc., you should be fine. You won't get any spyware by going to ESPN.com or Bigsoccer.com, but you will if you go to a bad site. PCs are like anything else. You can either do good things and you'll be safe, or you can venture off an do something risky and have the potential to have your computer become worth no more than the functioning keyboard, mouse and/or printer that you have.

Or you can use a Mac and do "risky" things like use file sharing programs and not worry about email attachments.
Besides the potential for worms and viruses, there's also the fact that OS X is simply more stable and efficient than Windows. I like not having to worry about my system crashing.

It's like saying you won't drive a Ferrari because it can go to fast so instead you'll drive a slower car.
But I do admit OS X is much more stable. It rarely ever freezes (on the new Macs at least).

A more apt analogy would be saying that I wouldn't drive a Ford Escort because you hit a bump in a road and the engine catches on fire, so instead, I'll drive a Volvo.
The problem with Windows isn't that you get corrupted files and viruses, but that its structural flaws make it easy for worms and spywares to penetrate the system. While it is true that most hackers don't target Macs because of the small market share, the systems are designed to be more robust.
