Blind Date... and all the other Shows

It's bad enough I admit to checking these shows out every now and then. They're quite funny at times. But seriously, where the hell do they get the ideas for the dates? I just saw one where they went to a Pet Store. Another, they were cleaning a hotel room. I'm not kidding. ON the date, they went to clean a hotel room. You never like any of the characters anyway - they're the slimiest and grossest people you can imagine meeting. But I started noticing... the dates absolutely suck. Singing instructions, yoga and baking were another. **shudder**

I figure I'll check a few more shows out and wait for the one where the couple gets to swim with sharks, or dip their hands in a piranha tank.

Pet store and cleaning a hotel would be torture for me. I could make a go of the singing, baking and yoga at least. They could at least provide avenues to funny stuff.

Some of those shows are hilarious though.

given the type of people often picked for Blind Date, I think we'd all be better served if the couples went in for sterilization on their dates.

Was channel surfing last night and came across the show again. This show's hilarious. The other night they had a gold-digger women... I mean she was just disgusting, her views. Anyways the guy was cool about it & his dig of 'I spend money. But I don't believe in wasting it' was hilarious.

Anyways, the daytime date... again, what the... they went jumping on a trampoline. That was the 'date'. Jump on a trampoline. Amazing. Another one was 'shooting hoops'. That was pretty funny. But I wonder what type of schmo would go on this show. I mean, they're just going to get humiliated and set-up with a psycho.

I caught a 'Blind Date' a few months ago where the dude actually got lucky. He had this skeezer in the hottub and had her top off in no time. A few minutes later they were back at his place for some boot knockin'.

Nothing like telling the whole world you're a slut. :D

Well, I think I'm addicted to this show. How sad is that? :( :D Last night I was watching, and for the date they brushed their teeth. No lie. THEY BRUSHED THEIR FREAKIN' TEETH! But don't worry, they followed it up with a good 'floss' too. Yes, they had the string and everything.

Blind Date is awesome. I actually wouldn't mind going on that show, I think it'd be pretty funny.

My favorite daters have to be those winners who pull off the double, getting on Blind Date AND the 5th Wheel - there's a pro wrestler wannabe named "Hawk" or something, who I've seen on both...no idea if he's done the treble and gotten on Shipmates or that one with Jillian Barberie.

Actually, my all-time favorite Blind Dater has to be "Cocktails!" Guy. He should have a show of his own, where he just goes out, gets ripped, and acts like an ass.

The BD with Steve-O was funny in a sad way, too. He had some hot, fake blond bim acting somewhat interested in him...yet clearly there's no "off" button on the Steve-O act....he was of course a totally obnoxious idiot throughout their date and completely revolted her.

The Steve-O one was an absolute classic. But there was another blind date where the guy was on the show and cheating on his girlfriend by being on the show, & got busted. It was pretty funny - he was an incredibly miserable tart. The drunken jack-asses are the best though. I mean, if you're a total wuss or a complete meat-head, you'll be on the show. For the chicks... you either have to be an incredibly uptight virgin or an amazingly loose slut.

There've been a few carry-overs from the Fifth Wheel. There was this one girl that looked straight up busted on the Fifth wheel that was on Blind date, and had the guy fawning over her. It was amazing. Remember when there were something like 5 of these shows on the air? Blind Date, Fifth Wheel, Shipmates, Elimidate... maybe something else. Shipmates was something though because you could literally see in each episode how the host was losing in his personal battle against drugs. He'd progressively look worse and worse and worse.
