Leverkusen (Real, Roma, Kiev), or
Bayern (Juve, Ajax, Tel Aviv), or
Werder (Valencia, Inter, Anderlecht)?
It's a tough decision, I think. All three German teams got a tough draw. I think Werder's group is toughest from top to bottom...Leverkusen can probably come out of their group (I really hope they crush Real)...and Bayern, well...let's just hope (by "let's" I mean Bayern fans, or those who want to see a German team go far) they "rise to the occasion"...even against Tel Aviv. A draw against them would mean doom, I think. It would be great to see all three of the German teams advance, especially Werder, who have the opportunity to really put themselves on the map, as it were.

I was surprised that Bremen were in "group four" for the draw while Bayern were in "group one." What do they rank that on? Bremen just won the Bundesliga and the Pokal, what more could they have done? I don't know why UEFA ranked them as one of the bottom tier CL teams. Is it because they didn't qualify for last years CL?
It's tough to call who will get out, we could see all three or just as easily none of them advancing to the knock out stages.

Bundesliga and the Pokal are national titles. Bremen didn't do well in europe the last 5 jears.

I wanna be really optimistic and say Bayern has the best chance because Juve has been slacking off as of left. I think Leverkusen is going to pull the upset and Werder could do the same. Bayer and Bremen have the potential to go through. As for Munich, that all depends on them because they are the best team statistically, they just cannot chocke like they did the last 2 seasons.

Tough question. Bayern to me seem like a world class team. Their whole team has so much talent, but they just seem to be stuck in gear and not able to fit their peak. I know this is a stupid thing to say, but if they do hit top form i have to choose them as the best german team in the CL and maybe one of the best overall.
Leverkusen i think have a good chance however. They don't have many stars and could cause an upset or two. Their style may hit Real's greatset disadvantages.
Bremen could do well, certianly they are firing on all cylinders.

I agree, even though the Leverkusen team was different when they faced Madrid in the Champions League final, I think they still have the team and the type of playing that causes Madrid the biggest problems. I would love to see Leverkusen beat on Madrid. That would make my entire year.

Agreed. The toughest opponent Bayern face is themselves. Juventus is not what they were 2 years ago. This may sound funny, and sad at the same time, but I can see Bayern do a typical choke job with Haifa.

Fixed your post. I agree, Juventus is very beatable. They aren't even the best team in Italy.

Exactly. I will not be surprised if Bayern struggles against Haifa. I do not know but for some reason, Bayern of late has been struggling against mediocre teams!

What is it? That is the most mind boggling thing. Arrogance? Just Overrated? They should be destroying teams--and be playing beautiful and exciting football. Kudos to Leverkusen--they played this weekend with a purpose.
Though I think Bayern do not have the easiest group-they "should" progress. But who wants to place bets that it will go down to the last game of group play? Kinda embarassing!
