I know there used to be the River Ratz. So is there an official name for the supporters club?

Delusional? (Ducking and running and admitting to at least at-a-distance membership.)

Wasn't there that informal "Mile High Club" group after the Ratz dissapeared?

Zar can help out more, but there was the "Jolly Green Men" behind the north goal in Mile High, then the River Ratz in the east stand at the north 20meter line. The Ratz went to 127 in Mile High Dos, sort of faded. The Rapids allowed people to purchase cheap ($10/game) tickets there as long as they said they belonged to a supporter's club, but never tried to help sanction/organize/assist. The major corporate effort was to send people to hassle the Ratz about standing, drums, flags, or whatever during games.

After the Ratz faded, a small group moved up to the above-the-walkway East stans at about the 30 meter line. Maybe 5-15 folks. I sat there on a couple games. That was two years ago (I think).

Now there's another group to the 127's left closer to the tunnel. The security seems to be hassling them now. There are a few core former Ratz in 127, actually likely 50-100 people variably show, usually in low numbers and only 20-30 standers. A semi-standing batch sits back up in 127, close enough to enjoy the noisier stuff but sort of detatched. I have only made a couple games this year, and tend to sit there, about row 10 or 15.

Personally, I hope Zar gets re-energized next year with a new coach, and new stadium on the way, and decides to re-form a supporters club. The Ratz years were bar far the best supporters years. I know that the time committment is a lot to get it correct. I actually wonder if it's a full time job sometimes, you know, meeting with the Rapids, organizing events, arranging sponsors, etc.

I've said it before ... something like the Class Five Section or Class Six if there is one ... relates to actual rapids that cannot be navigated ... but this could be a sort of cool lead into a name.

Class 5 is the max I've ever heard of for a rapids.

Yeah, I like this idea. Class 5. However, it doesn't really roll off the tounge as an organization's name.

We are the class fives!

I know that's what doesn't work ... what about other terms like the currents that suck you back ... what are they called.

What about C5?

I think Coke would get pissed and use legal action.

Undertow I think.

We are the Undertowers - don't know about that. Some have suggested in the past something to do with 14'ers. I never thought that one was better than River Ratz, although River Ratz at least has a river connection to rapids.

Very bad if you have no experience!

What about something simple ...

Colorado RSC

RSC = Rapids Supporters Club

Or just the RSC.

If you just want a name that will meet the "it doesn't suck" criteria and everyone can unite behind, go with...

Ultras

Interesting take - I'm staying out of it however.

I went to look up some rafting terms ... first off there is a class six:
Class 6: Extreme and Exploratory. These runs have almost never been attempted and often exemplify the extremes of difficulty, unpredictability and danger. The consequences of errors are very severe and rescue may be impossible. For teams of experts only, at favorable water levels, after close personal inspection and taking all precautions. After a Class VI rapids has been run many times, it's rating may be changed to an appropriate Class 5.x rating.

The only other interesting term I saw was Eddie ... so we could all be a bunch of Eddies!

a.k.a. The Supporters section formerly known as...

Or maybe "?" or "?" or something like that.

Cheers,
