I would expect Sigi to be very diplomatic, even if Harkes baits him a bit, as I expect Sigi will want to coach again and he doesn't seem to be the type to burn bridges.

Now getting Sampson over in the studio....I'd definitely watch that one

Are they wheeling in Cinemascope cameras to interview him?

Maybe he thought "MLS Wrap" was something on the new Taco Bell menu.

Sigi was on MLS Wrap one time last year and they just gave him a low chair so his stomach wouldn't show up on camera.

bump - did anyone have a chance to see this? How did it go, what was said, and how many times did Harkes say 'as well'?

Sigi pretty openly campaigned for another job, which was cool. Cuz you see that all the time with the other major sports. Harkes and Sean really gave Sigi room to criticize the circumstances of the firing, and Sigi did so in a very understated way.

My big, big criticism is that Sean'n'John didn't probe the widespread reports of locker room dissension. A problem with Sean'n'John, and the FFF guys, is that they take one side on a position and advocate for it like Ed Gillespie and Terry McAuliffe stump for their candidate, utterly without nuance. In this case, they thought Sigi got screwed, and they weren't going to deviate one iota, even to ask an obvious question.

Also, they didn't even mention the issue of Chivas coming to town at the same time the Gals fire a Germanic coach and bring in a guy fluent in Spanish. Poor, poor journalism. Sigi very obliquely referred to it when Sean (I think) asked him if he had any contact from either SLC or Chivas, and Sigi pointed out that Chivas want a Spanish-speaking coach and "As you know, I don't do that." (IIRC.)

Anyway, it was good by MLS Wrap standards, and that's a step forward, but the journalism was sub-Stuart Scott, in terms of asking anything resembling a probing question. (And Stuart was my dormmate at E-haus!!!)
